I figured it'd be best to stick with one LSU rugby thread rather than make a new one each week.

Bump to add an updated poll.

With the win over TCU, LSU has moved up 2 spots in the D1A Top 20 to #18

Cal doesn't play D1. They're off in their own bubble called the Varsity Cup. Though teams van play in both D1 and the Varsity Cup, so I don't know why they don't. So if you want to add in Cal and BYU, LSU would be #20. Though talent-wise LSU is probably in the 9-13 range.

Actually, yeah. LSU whooped the hell out of Bama the week before last. 55-12. And most of Alabama's points came with LSU's backups in the game.

Though fyi there is no rivalry between LSU and Alabama in rugby. Bama has been our bitches in rugby for as long as I can remember. I'd say LSU's current rival in rugby is A&M.

LSU moves to 5-0 (2-0 in conference) on the season with a 34-0 win over the Texas Longhorns.

This team has been extremely impressive to date and has outscored it's opponents 257-29. LSU currently sits at #17 in the polls and will likely move up after this win.

LSU will look to continue their run at home against conference leader Oklahoma next Saturday (2/20) at home. This match will be LSU's first real test of the season so it's sure to be a good one.

2/20 Oklahoma(4-0) v LSU (2-0)
Game will be played at the LSU SAC Fields on Gourrier just past Alex Box Stadium towards the levee.

Here's a recap of the game against Texas this weekend.
A&M, LSU roll in Austin
LSU, A&M Win in Red River

But more newsworthy is that the Tigers jumped up a spot in the polls to #16.
D1A Top 20

LSU has a huge game this weekend against Oklahoma who currently sits at the top of the conference. (4-0 to LSU's 2-0). A win Saturday will put LSU in the drivers seat to win the Red River Conference and clinching a playoff spot in their first year back in the top division (D1A) of rugby. (D1A>D1AA>D2, SEC Rugby Conference is D1AA)

Game will be at the SAC Fields just past Alex Box towards the levee. Come out and watch some rugby before heading to the Box for the Saturday game of the opening baseball series. I think there will also be a LSU Women's Lacrosse game at the same time, so come cheer on the ladies as well.
