We should play it in the Tabernacle.

Do you know how many thousands of BYU fans are now not making the trip due to distance and short notice and having to cancel flights, hotels (actually few are getting refunds on hotels they have already booked), etc and yet you delusional folks think it should be all about catering to LSU.

They would have had to do all this regardless of where it was moved to.

It's funny how SEC teams think the universe revolves around them, how they will almost never travel outside of the SEC footprint to play OOC games (especially out west or up North or at altitude), play patsies to pad their W-L records and hype up their conference out to be the best through smoke and mirrors. Yet they aren't willing to actually prove it (ie step outside their foot print and play good teams in other parts of the country).

LSU travels probably more than any other SEC team, clown. Washington in 09, Syracuse in 15. Neutral site openers almost every season.

You're an idiot if you can't get a hotel refund under these circumstances. Try calling and actually talking to people. I booked a non-refundable room but I called the hotel today and they canceled and refunded my booking in 5 minutes.

LSU wants to play in Texas for recruiting reasons and (sorta related) to let family/relatives of Texas players go to the game without huge travel expense.

This is dumb. LSU plays in Texas every other year. So now we just say, frick it, let's play there every year and screw over our fans and our community?

LSU had no problem recruiting Texas before they had a permanent opponent from Texas. If not playing byu in Texas hurts recruiting. We are fricked then. No one is choosing LSU because they played byu.

I'm literally going to lay on my couch until 7pm watching football all day, and then get up and go to the game. Then immediately go home and lay in bed and watch some shitty west coast game on TV after.

We like to play in Houston because of recruiting. Also a huge LSU alumni base there.

It's all about that paper boo boo.

Wisconsin received the full economic impact of the Lambeau Field game where New Orleans and Louisiana didn't get that for the Houston game. I'm glad LSU finally gets a neutral site game where they should have always been played. It's terrible it happened under these circumstances.
I agree on the Wisconsin series, but if there is no return trip to BYU then can't really say this game should have been in NOLA.

Melvin Gordon was the running back for Wisconsin and he didn't get hurt, the head coach didn't play him the rest of the game. A real head scratcher of decision.
But they did lose a main cog on the defensive side.

Maybe LSU wanted that game in Houston for exposure in Texas.

WRONG. Money is the reason.
