You also have to factor in that the best players mostly never went to college. Factor that in and the odds of making the majors out of college are incredibly small.

Gausman doesn't start for the Orioles anymore?

Gausman is currently a reliever/spot starter.

Well he did hit a homer in the majors this year when he was called up. It wont be long. Also expect Nola to break in soon as well as Ranaudo

Gausman plays for the Orioles and Ranaudo plays for the Rangers.

Paul also recruits guys that are more likely to come to campus than other head coaches, so we don't always end up with high end talent(mlb wise) guys like bregman

Mahtook did hit a home run right away and then hit didn't get another hit, he will get another shot since he only had 4 AB and was basically an injury replacement. He is hitting .381 in the minors including a 12/34 in the month of May.

This is what makes us good. Look at ucla's recruiting, they usually have 3-4 commits who are rated as top 50 prospects in the entire draft and none of them ever make it to campus. CPM usually gets 1 or maybe 2 guys are are top 100 prospects and every once in a while we get lucky and their stock falls around draft time like deichmann
