Correction, not to be rude, but we lost to Florida in 2012, not 2013.

Yeah, and that game wasn't really Les' fault. Our LB came out the game and we ended up giving up a touchdown on that drive, and Beckham (I think) had that fumble. Not really a coach's fault in those circumstances, and the game was in Gainesville.

The D and O-line weren't supposed to take a giant step backwards. Our physicality wasn't supposed to take a giant step backwards. Those were supposed to be better than last year, but clearly there has been a big regression in those areas.

Now do you see why people are upset w/ the performance?

Its one thing to take a step back

Its quite another to get dominated by Mississippi St at home on a Saturday night

i guess you dont remember some of his other losses.

This.

Both losses in 2007 were worse. 2009 vs Ole Miss was worse.

Last year against Florida was worse (hell, 2007 against Florida was worse).

2008 vs Georgia was worse.

And they lost a 3000 yard passer a 1000 yard rusher and 2 1000 yard receivers. Did anybody expect the loss total of 3 to decrease?? I thought it was assumed this year would be a step back so why the all the bitching and moaning already??

Speaking for myself, I'm not complaining.

I think a lot of us really knew that some of what we were seeing was fool's gold (me included) and thought we might be able to tightrope until mid-October. I'm not shocked at all they lost to Moo State. Was just hopeful that they could smoke and mirrors their way until the team really started to gel, which I still believe will happen in about a month.

I will be complaining if Jennings does not progress and they refuse to give Harris a shot.

Name them and don't say 21-0. That was against an all-time great D and Bama had a great gameplan that was executed almost perfectly.

This was a good, not great, MSU team that came into LSU's house and kicked their teeth in. The only other comparable loss was 2008 UGA IMO. They had 3 future NFL stars on that team and LSU's offense put up some fight in that one at least.

Arkansas 2007

at the time Ark was 3-4 in the SEC #4 in the west. (MSU was also 3-4) Unranked 7-4 on the season. LSU was in prime position to win that game win the SEC championship and have no issues getting into the NC. LSU dropped the ball and lost a game they should have won, at home against a much worse team. If it wasn't for a lot of extreme luck at the end of that season LSU would have been playing for another sugar bowl victory. Instead we got lucky and beat OSU in the NC.

Kentucky 07 is the same, they were ranked at the time but they finished 3-5 in the SEC.

How is a win worse than a loss?

What you are arguing has nothing to do with the expectations going into the season and the actual results. You were just bitching about how much money miles is getting paid. The point is everyone should have realized going into this year that it would be a less successful year than last year

MSU's record could very well be similar to both of those teams. People on here acting like MSU is some great team need to take a step back and realize they are, at best, the 5th lost talented team in the west.

to add another 2008 vs Arkansas was bad to. Arkansas was 4-7 on the year going into that game 1-6 in the SEC. But we lost to them after losing to a decent ole miss team.

Money paid to the coaches give expectations. My point is that coaching staff losing 3 games in consecutive years with the most NFL draft picks in the country. So now that we don't have that, we are supposed to accept falling to the bottom of the SEC West?

Let's be clear, I never said we are going to finish in the bottom of the conference, that's not my expectations, that is yours and the others that say "we lost too much talent, we have to take a step back". If that's the case, then you should be livid that we lost 6 games in two years with elite talent.

add another

2012 Ole miss, they were 2-5 coming into that game.

2010 Tennesse was almost another horrible loss.

This isn't the worst loss in the Miles era.

Yes they were and they had AJ green, Matt stafford and knowshon Moreno. 08 UF was one of the best teams in the country and we played them in the swamp. 09 ole miss was an away game. 07 Arkansas was bad, but LSU wasn't dominated in that game.

My bad. The years seem to blur together at times, especially since some of the problems look exactly the same.

I agree. And, hello, Darren McFadden. None of those losses compare to what happened this weekend. I agree with you.

I will say it again: we were stuffed on 4th down at the goalline in the fricking student section of our own stadium. Inexcusable.

I'm going to answer the worst game in the miles era

2008 vs Arkansas, they SUCKED there is no reason we should have lost that game. Keep in mind that after this game is the one time since 2008 we haven't been ranked. I hope we don't break that streak this year.
