We finally got approved for an LSU plate. We need 1000 pre-orders by next June. Cost is $35. Spread the word to other Tennessee Residents. LINK to the form.

Can I pay for one even if I don't live in Tennessee? I'll pay $35 just to help this be a thing.

What does this mean? When I moved to Tennessee 10 years ago they were trying to get this done, but needed 1000 preorders. Is it the design that was approved?

Ours blow in Texas.

Eta: I have the last one this list. That Tennesse one is pretty badass, needs to be added to their list.

That pic came from the Texas DMV site.
The eye is not much better IMO....

Yeah I agree, I'd rather it plain white with the eye.

It means we had a state representative sponsor the legislation and get it passed. Now we have to get the pre-orders.

So I thought it was shady to send money to some random address but after checking the TN DMV website it appears to be legit.
For those interested here's the link to potential LSU Plate

For the Louisana LSU plate do u have to pay 100 dollars every year for it? Or is it a 1 time fee

Can’t wait until they get them for South Carolina

All school-specific plates:
are available to all Tennessee residents.
require an annual fee of $61.50.
$35 of the annual fee collected supports the Tennessee Arts Commission (80%) and the Highway Fund (20%).
can be personalized between three to five characters.
* I think you pay extra to have it personalized if desired.

Louisiana needs to update theirs and make it like this with that logo. It looks better.

Oh snap I need to get the TX one with the eye. I was never a fan of the other one.

Yeah. It's definitely legit. The Nashville alumni chapter has been trying to get this done for a while. The last communication I had about it was from 2009. Back then they were taking pledges and if they got to 1000, everyone was supposed to send their check at that time. I don't think they ever got close, but this way is smarter anyway.
Anyway, I'm down for 2 and the check is in the mail. Hopefully it'll happen this time.
Anyone know how to get in touch with Rickydaddy? I'm sure he's got a few luxury sleds he can slap these on.
