I was thinking of the OP's question and then thought how much more this will change to an end of season question every year now with the portal and NIL stuff as part of the mix. In previous years you could forecast more of future needs based on the current roster and who was leaving as a Senior or ...

Well according to the SEC site for 2021 he had the 4th best QBR. ESPN has him as the 6th best QBR among SEC QB's for 2021.
Oh and some random QB from Alabama, who I recall is in the SEC, just walked away with the Heisman.
