LSU Hoops to use International Tour this offseason -- Australia

Ben Simmon's hinted at it yesterday (via twitter) and Johnny Jones has confirmed that the LSU basketball team will use their international tour (allowed once every four years) this off-season likely between July and August this year.
The trip will allow the Tigers to practice and compete together in a practice that has become a major advantage to programs who use this trip.
It obviously made sense to go to Australia with both Ben Simmons and Darcy Malone on the roster as well as David Patrick doing a great job recruiting from the country.
Overall, this is a great chance for LSU to get their young guys ready to compete. Normally you cannot practice until mid October so getting everyone together this early will be a HUGE help.

Wow, that's huge. With the players we currently have, a trip like that could really secure a lot of future Aussies for us.

Heard Johnny Jones talking about this on the radio yesterday afternoon. He pointed out that Craig Victor will be able to play with the team, so that could help out big time when he can start playing after he first semester, having already played with the team in competition before.

Im really hoping we get them televised in some way. UK had all of their games available to BBN, but it may be more difficult in Australia.

I have a buddy of mine that lives in Victoria. Not long ago I sent him a sweet LSU lid. Said he wanted one but couldnt get one there. converting them one aussie at a time.
