I know. And I asked you a question about a peer comparison related to your post that LSU should be ahead more than 63% of the time to all opponents.

And I gave it.

LSU is ahead 37% against quality opponents

Alabama is at 73%
Florida is at 69%

Not sure you many more ways I can tell you.

Close games in the 4th qtr is the only way to keep bandwagons in their seats.

You still haven't demonstrated why we should really care about this statistic if it still leads to us coming back and winning at a high rate

You still haven't provided it for all opponents and UGA...which was the question that I asked...in direct reply to your statement.

I thought LSU was up or tied 63% of the time to all opponents?

It shows statically that LSU plays conservative football that plays down to the opponent - relying on conditioning and depth to win the games.

It shows Miles has ALOT of luck in many wins (ex Tenn 2010).

It's a stat that shows what those who have our eyes open already see.

go back and read. I gave that number. I believe UGA trailed only 47% of the time (since 05- Les' tenure)

Bama only trailed 27% of time under Saban.

Florida only trailed 31% of the time under Meyer in the 4th qtr against ranked OOC and all SEC opponents.

To me, this stat tells me LSU finally ran out of lucky rabbits' feet. When you trail 63% of the time in the 4th qtr to SEC teams and ranked OOC teams, Les' win total is a complete anomaly and it's just starting to balance itself out now.

You are outing yourself to not be taken serious with this thread

Luck?

Any one trying to discredit wins as "luck" is obviously reaching to make a stupid point.

No. You said this:

quote:

I'd say yeah. For a program the caliber of LSU to only be leading or tied 63% in the 4th is not great.

And I asked what UGA's % was over that same time period. And you keep posting what UGA's was vs. "Quality Opponents".

Did you really just say THIS is defense of Les Miles?

Didn't look it up as the newer stat is more relevant to LSU's coming opponents.

Unless you really care about the Towsons and Furmans of the world? In which case, feel free to look it up and post it yourself.

Okay, I'll play.

How about Alabama backing their way into two championships under Saban? How lucky is that?

Without those two lucky occurrences, LSU would have more titles under Miles than Alabama does under Saban.

You have a thread full of agenda driven statistics then throw out "luck" to try to bolster an already stupid point to paint a worse picture than what is actual reality.

How come you (knight) and the other anti lsu posters don't discuss Saban's luck? Only Miles wins and has success with luck apparently.

you've officially jumped the shark in this thread. you're trying too hard to make those numbers you posted seem relevant.

probably best for everyone to just let this thread die and move on

Uh...again...THIS in defense of Miles?

2007 was the luckiest anomaly in the history of CFB after we choked it away against Arkansas.

2011 was lucky after not even winning their DIVISION.
