Good riddance to the super seniors.

Maybe we can actually accomplish something now.

May be an unpopular opinion....

Those super seniors are replaceable (great kids) but it does us no good without having decent coaching.

So we’ve actually fell behind Missouri. And with what we have coming in next year, I don’t see us being any better next year.

That's what I am saying. He was a terrible hire. He makes a good assistant and recruiter but cant run a program. We have been going down hill for 2 years and the program is a shell of what it was.

It’s not completely on the team so stop attacking them. At the end of the day it comes down to bad coaching and lineup choices

I’m sorry but they have to execute as well. Sami went 9.65 and Christina fell….. your vets have to produce.

Like what is he missing - it seems like the girls love him. And it seems like you would just keep doing what DD was doing...like what is so hard about it? Why can't he figure it out.

Honestly, its embarrassing. We should in no way, shape, or form have lost to any of these teams.

I’m heartbroken for the girls. They have been the joke of the gymternet since the whole AJ thing. Wanted so much more for them.

Mental toughness is not there. His teams let little mistakes snowball. Going back to Nationals last season, it has continue on again this year.

Except LSU returned its entire team, added a great freshmen class but somehow got much worse.

This program has definitely taken a step back. I personally feel that some coaching changes need to be made during the off season to put this program back on the tracks. This season was a huge disappointment.

No one's going to fire anyone, I wouldn't think, especially after the year Woodward's had. I do hope Woodward cares about the team though and has a meeting with Jay about expectations and how to move forward.

LSU got a new vault coach and volunteer coach who deals with floor.

But that isn't what lost them this meet today.

I agree but they won’t make any changes until people stop going and packing the PMAC. They are setting attendance records.

There clearly needs to be a coach who can coach mental toughness. Jay will not last long, if he doesn’t bring in a new coach who can. LSU did not make it past day one. With top 5 talent. This is right up there with Chris Waller epically failing the talent at UCLA. And damn it hurts to actually type that out. I’m officially very concerned now.

Still hoping Kiya goes for AA and Haleigh goes for vault.

Now as I sit here reading all of these responses, I can agree with the fact that I think Jay can get one more year before Woodward could consider making some changes. I just don’t want to see this program suffer and continue to take steps backwards. But we will see! I think Woodward needs to lay out the expectations with Jay so everything is made clear on what is needed for him to keep his job.

I live in Birmingham and went to see the team for the first time. When they came through the tunnel doing that madi gras dance I knew to expect trouble. Not focused. Hate to say it here but when Alabama football got to choose what city to play first playoff game at Saban chose Dallas. He said still had unfinished business and Miami had to many distractions. Focused. Take it for what it is worth.

I would love to see that! I don’t think Haleigh was at 100% today. I heard them say on the broadcast she was getting over a stomach virus. I would love to see her and Kiya have the chance to compete individually.
