quote:Yep, but most of the ones that are most vocal against Miles don't really care about LSU. They only care about how it makes them feel to rant and rave about football.
Going to suck when it starts affecting recruiting.

it's a generational thing.
i was about to post something like that. its not always true though. but more often than not.

Doesn't everyone think Mainieri is in over his head?

In this day and age where it doesn't pay to be honest; I can understand your sentiment. Expressing what took place on the field is reality. That is going to be reality to those young men when they turn pro. If you want things to be different then its going to reflect the play on the field. This is not to say that individual players played bad or deserve to be berated, but collectively have to live with the results. Does this mean that the stands will be empty for the rest of the season, and fans or now non supportive. No . Enough said; we all need to move on.

a little overreacting here........just fans doing what fans do.

We'll see Saturday night. This fanbase is smart, and when you tell them that things will be corrected, shame on you, when they see the truth with their own eyes. Our fans take this seriously, spend a lot of damn money and time, swap work shifts, use thier last Vacation days to watch their Tigers perform. This ain't the place you go to say "well, you win some, you lose some". If thats you, well go watch "little league". Nobody is turning on the Tigers, but don't pee down our backs and say its raining, either!
uhhhhhhh...yeah.
You see that little bold part? That's where ya lost me. It is widely known that the SEC schools have little football knowledge beyong their own borders. People in the Big 10 know more about SEC football than we do about them. Why, cause we consider the south better. It's true. I can admitt this and I'm an SEC/LSU fan.
Now, consider the fact that we may have one of the biggest fan bases in the SEC along with Bama and UF, then that makes room for A LOT of retards.

Just my .02
Im an LSU FAN!
I dont watch the games because I want to see a certain play, or a certain player. I dont follow the Tigers because of Coach Miles or "The Chief". I followed LSU long before the current coaches, playes, and success was there and will continue to support them. We as fans can't control the teams reputation or success but what we can control is how we are judged as fans. LSU was once known for having the greatest fans in college football, and Death Valley was the most feared place to play. Anyone who thinks this is still the case is mistaken.
Ive been on this site for a while and never posted but I could not keep it to myself any more. If we cant win a championship there is nothing wrong with being the best **** fans in the country. Im happy with a win but I'm even happier just to watch my Tigers play ball.

We get it Doc, you're the only fan who was disappointed in the performance Sat. night. No one else sees what you do with such clarity.

You're a fricin' liberal. Who exactly is "anyone" as you refer to these humunoids? STFU
Posted on 9/9/09 at 5:22 pm to DanglingFury
Some of you are acting like this is a problem only with LSU fans.....teams across the country do the same to their teams every week and it doesnt seem to affect their recruiting. This is nothing new. Yes, I was very disappointed with the performance Sat. night but having had time to reflect now feel a bit differently. Because of the passion surrounding LSU football, people often resort to kneejerk comments and assinine logic...dosn't mean anyone is jumping ship....come back to planet earth folks....and by the way, as long as I'm sending money to the school and TAF, I can (believe it or not) say whatever the fuk I want about the Tigers on on any chicken shite forum that I please. Your not goin to make me feel guilty so save it for someone else!!!
That said....Geaux Tigahs!!!

not true i know that this was washington's bcscg, and i think it's kind of good that we got this wake up call now rather then later on in the season

It has gotten worse in this aspect since 2003 when all of the bandwagon jumpers arrived.
Nailed it! 2003, Nick Saban, blah blah blah. Les Miles will never get full credit for anything he does here because of the fans that still cant get over the fact that Nick Saban is gone. You hear or see it every day. Somebody saying how saban wouldnt have done it that way or this wouldnt happen if saban was here and it makes me sick. The band wagon fans are the same douche bags that want to open up the offense all the way, week one, against an inferior opponent, with a 19 year old at QB. Or they are the ones that want to give it to #8 every play because he is fast. I guess this happens everywhere when you have success but the way some of you people act is going to eventually be the downfall of this programs success. What kind of player wants to play for a fan base that bashes you if you dont win by 20 or more? Its gotta stop, grow up and quit being a baby.
