The Big-12 and ND do not have a conference championship. Does that change anything, in your opinion?

Yet im willing to bet you lobbied for osu last december

Also, what if Rutgers goes undefeated, a SEC team has one loss, and Oregon goes undefeated....by your logic, does RUTGERS get in over the SEC Champ?

Are you really putting the big east in the same category as the big 12, pac 10, and notre dame. Don't be dense for the sake of an argument. The big east is a "bsc conference" by name only, with every team worth a damn bailing out, no I don't think an undefeated rutgers or louisville would get in over a 1 loss SEC team...they're on the same level as the boises and hawaiis of the world.

How you can say with a straight face that a one loss SEC champ is going to get in over an undefeated notre dame or oregon is baffling. The voters won't allow it, plain and simple. Every team in the SEC that stands a chance will conceivably only have 2-3 more games against a top 10 team. Oregon gets SC possibly twice while ND gets oklahoma and SC. If they run the table their schedule will be good enough to trump anyone with a loss

Now, you are changing your premise. You said there is no way an undefeated BCS team would be left out in favor of a one loss SEC team. Now, you are saying that the quality of the schedule matters.

ETA: If now you say the quality of a team's schedule matters, then you cannot definitively say that a one-loss SEC team would be left out.

Look, again this is just a fun exercise - not saying LSU can accomplish this scenario.

BUT...
We are BCS #6 right now. If we beat #1 Bama, that is seriously significant. We also have to beat A&M and Miss St, both ranked.

Then, if we get FLA in SECCG, they could be #1.

That means in our last 7 games, we will have beat #5 SC, ranked A&M, #1 Bama, ranked Miss St and another #1 Fla.

That would be one helluva finish, especially beating 2 different BCS #1's in 4 weeks.

Hard to imagine LSU not getting in, over an undefeated K-St or ND, neither of which had a single win over a top-5 team and didn't even have to win a Conf Champ game.

Certainly not saying we can do it, but what if we do?

The voters do not consider the big east a power conference, don't be a dumbass..you know that as well as I do, I hope anyway. 1 loss SEC champ does not get in over undefeated oregon or notre dame. We'll never find out, but if that happened it's ducks and irish for the crystal

YOU ARE ON CRACK!

A one loss SEC team will absolutely be ranked higher than an undefeated K-State team!

Notre Dick will falter..in reality, the needed flat out cheating by the refs to get the win against Stanford! (the guy positively scored at the end)

What you have to watch out for is a 1 loss USC, because the media is strong there and so many old farts are gay over seeing them go to the Ship....

I think it would be close like 2 and 3 were last year, but I don't see a 1 loss jumping an undefeated notre dame. They would have beaten USC, Oklahoma, Stanford among others...and they are Notre Dame and you are lsu. There's not much debate when one team is undefeated and the other has a loss, it's pretty simple

If USC wins their conference, are they in over an undefeated KState?

well then you're delusional. The voters..you know the people that decide who goes, they watched lsu lay an egg of epic proportions last year in the NC. You're telling me that a 1 loss lsu gets in over an undefeated notre dame with victories against stanford, usc, and oklahoma. Dude you're clueless

You know and I know that Notre Dame isn't going undefeated.

OU, USC or both will beat them. They're not leaving Norman with a win.

And you call me clueless.

No shite, that was never the argument.

If they go undefeated, oregon goes undefeated, sec champ has 1 loss, its oregon ND for the crystal.

the team shut out in the title the previous year is going to get in over an undefeated notre dame. You truly believe that?

Where did I mention LSU?

While you're at it, toss in Rutgers and Kansas State in your argument too. They're both undefeated as well.

LSU got shut out in the Title Game. What did ND do last year? You contradict yourself so much it is worrisome.
