No undefeated BCS conference team has ever been left out of the title game in favor of a 1 loss team.

The only time undefeated BCS teams have been left out is in favor of OTHER undefeatd BCS teams.

Undefeateds from outside the BCS conferences have been left out for 1 loss teams.

Right now Oregon, Notre Dame, and Kansas State are all undefeated and ahead of LSU. If at least 2 of those 3 win out, they will play in the title game.

At this point a 1 loss SEC team will always be first in line of the other one loss teams, but not ahead of undefeateds from within the BCS.

The good news for LSU fans is that the odds of two of those teams losing is very, very high. I don't see Notre Dame or Kansas State lasting till the end of year.

So LSU practically controls it's own destiny, but not absolutely.

I would say the chance that two teams drop one out of KState, ND, and Oregon is about 100%

So yes I would say we control our own destiny

Wong! We already had our "screwing of the century" last year. If we win out, you can rest assured we will not be receiving back to back "screwings of the century".

Notre Dame's schedule is legit. Oregon's schedule is not that great. LSU would jump Oregon.

There is no chance an undefeated Oregon is left out over a 1 loss LSU.

Yes LSU would have a better schedule, but Oregon would be undefeated, there's just no way it would happen. As I pointed out, no undefeated BCS team has been left out in favor of a 1 loss team.

The SEC has clout so they are always first in line, but only when it comes to the same loss tier.

I'm just pointing out the reality, let them rustle your jimmies if you want. If I were a betting man I'd say the odds of their being 2 undefeated from the 3 listed <10%, so no worries.

I think WVU beats KSU this weekend.

They have all those nasty intangibles going for them like LSU did against USCe, and Bama had against LSU in the BCSCG. WVU is mad, embarrassed, refocused, you name it.

The standard is "the two best teams". I think we would jump Oregon.

you = dumb.

If LSU wins out, that means they had won the SEC, and the SEC champion is not being left out this year.

Did you even watch the BCS unveiling last night? They agreed with me, the winner of the SEC -WILL- be in the national championship game.

That means an undefeated oregon may be there TOO, but trust me, whoever wins the SEC is going to the championship game 1 loss or not.

SEC won the last 6 in a row tigertard

How's this for reality ... LSU still has a long road ahead of them before they can even think about a spot in the BCSNC. A&M, 'Bama, Moo U, Ole Miss, Arkansas and then either USCe or UF again (probably). I LSU can navigate that minefield, I have a high level of confidence that two of ND, Oregon and KState will manage to lose a game.

For us to have that discussion means we beat A&M, Alabama, Ole Miss, Miss St, and Arky.

I'm happy with however the chips fall at that point
