8-5 with a Music City Bowl Runner Up is a damn strong season!

All that with a backup QB suffering a high ankle sprain

Just think how bad it would have been had we actually lost the starting QB. Or even the top 2 QBs like Ohio St did. It absolutely devastated their team, specifically because their coaches DO NOT know what they are doing

But I feel better now that I have been assured that our coaches do

With 2 WRs; 2 RBs; 2 QBs with no experience at all & the DL depleted by early departures and inexperience at the LB position (and a malcontent for a Defensive Coordinator & DL coach) you expected what exactly?

Some of you need to deal in reality and not some damn dream y'all are living in.

That doesn't translate to Miles knowing what he's doing. smh

So your saying that he was hurt so bad that after sitting the entire season after the Auburn game and going through bowl practice he could not even play a quarter of a meaningless bowl game? That he was so injured and also having practiced during the bowl season still so unprepared that he couldn't even buy a play in that lousy bowl game? Just want to make sure we are on the same page.

the coach of the difference was contacting another school the day of the game. Shows that he didn't prepare them.

How does that happen on a coaching staff that know what they're doing? Did nobody notice for two, three or four weeks leading up to the game that the freaking defensive coordinator wasn't doing anything? Nobody?

Somebody help me understand how Harris' statement about his injury illuminates his HS coach's remarks about him transferring.
I do not recall exactly what that coach said, but I recall that he was sympathetic with the idea that Harris should transfer.

my only problem with this is why did he play in the kentucky game and bama game if he was hurt? granted he didn't play much, but he did get in

He barely played. He only played against Bama because Jennings got rocked. I guess they could have thrown out Kragthorpe, but whatever.

I also know that Miles has had some misfortune with the QB position with guys like RP. If RP had not been kicked off, we wouldn't be talking about any of this. I agree the QB situation has been miserable and makes me want to pull my fricking hair out, but that is not all on Les. We've had kids get in trouble, Lee starting too early due to this, as well as a QB coach who admitted a couple of weeks ago that he could have done better. Les doesn't coach the damn QBs!! He hired a guy with a decade of QB coaching experience in the NFL to do that. I really do think all of this will be null and void come the AU game. Harris should win the job or AJ will improve enough to win games. Either way, the staff has said numerous times they understand they need to fix this, so how about just watching the games to see if that happens this year. We all knew last year would be a struggle.

Thank You

I'm not rooting against either guy. I want both improve. Doesn't matter who starts as long as one has improved greatly from last year. Improved QBs + improved WRs + improved OL + improved RB cast = improved football season

I went back and, yes, Parkway coach Feaster tried to get Harris to transfer from LSU over the Christmas holiday.
So, did Harris tell his former coach about his injury?
Is Feaster THAT big of a quack?
I'm having trouble making sense of all this...

RP had 8 years of eligibility left?

I don't think y'all understand what he is trying to say. We get RP for 2 years, Lee starts as a redshirt junior in 2010 instead of a redshirt freshman. Jefferson starts as a RSSr in 2012, and we probably get better QBs who actually want to come here.

We didn't have a QB coach, so deficiencies Lee and Jefferson had, never corrected themselves. That is definitely on Miles, but these guys learning behind Perriloux, would have been much better than what actually happened.

My hope is that Jennings and/or Harris turns our fortunes around.

Why would the kid lie bout something all his teammates and coaching staff would know to be a lie??? Doesn't make sense to me, but each to our own.

They are agenda driven idiots. Kleinpeter, the NOLA guy, has said numerous times that the team wanted Jennings to start over Harris. Jennings knew the ends and outs of the offense, he had command of the huddle, he didn't go schizo when even the hint of a defender got past the OL. Harris was far behind on all of it.

They saw how rattled he got against Auburn, hearing footsteps that weren't there, running the wrong way, and he did suffer an injury in that game, don't know how bad, but I'd believe what Harris said, and why would he lie when his whole team and coaching staff knew the truth?
