The thing is that Lee has experience (not that playing time seemed to help him). Hatch has some too, but Shep and Garrett wouldnt be good backups b/c they are so young. So sure, Lee would make a great backup. But damn, how can we sit here and expect him to sit behind JJ and not play unless an injury?

Your personal bias against JL really makes you say some stupid things.

In your opinion its ok to assume someone is racist if they still belive in JL, however not ok to assume JL may win qb job this offseason.
wow.

There is NO reasonable or objetive debate with people of your like caliber thinking.
SO lets just agree to disagree.

I dont hold that assumption, but I can see why some people might.

You really struggle with reading comprehension. You jump to strange conclusions.

I was thinking that about you as well. Only a Lee worshipper wants to disregard an entire awful season and focus on spring ball to determine a QB. Hey, I think Dickson played pretty well this year. But lets forget about that and see how he looks in practice before we name a starting TE.

I'll give you Bama, but UGA is more on the defense than him. Preseason we EXPECTED QB play to be shaky...we were given the high ranking because the defense was supposed to compensate for it. They didn't. Even if you double the amount of points that Lee gave up, it is still less than what the defense gave up in that game. Ergo, I blame them.

UGA was a bad game for the defense, but damn Lee still gave away 17 points. That's tough for any team to overcome.

Lee play was not up to par. He didn't manage the games. He was careless with the ball, and the sad thing about it Les would not have pulled him.

Les was afraid of putting in JJ, and I too didnt expect much from JJ. But when Les had the chance to put Lee back in against GT, anyone notice that he didnt?

dickson is a SR tightend...jesus chirst, i understand what you mean .. but if there is 1 fuking positon on the GD football field that players typically improve from fresh to soph year ..IT IS QB.

I HAVE NOT SEEN ENOUGH FROM JJ IN 2 GAMES THAT MAKES ME BELIEVE HE IS HEAD AND SHOULDERS ABOVE JL.
yes i am shouting... I dont want you to misconstrue what I believe. JJ has yet to play a complete game. PERIOD... i think JJ, JL,RS and CG all have potential to be good qbs or they wouldnt be here to sat with....which one ends up being the best when its over, I dont know no more than you.

What is par for a backup QB in his first year on the field?

The frick is this supposed to mean? That he wasn't of the "game manager" mold? No one claimed that he was.

The hell....you do realize that Lee was playable for the bowl game, right?

Why you people can't come to terms with the question of why it was so late in the season that JJ didn't play? No matter how much you berate JL, it doesn't change the fact that he was the best option at the time. Just let it go, it is in the past.

I know JJ has only played 2 games. But Lee played in about 10. That should be enough.

so 2games not being enough vs 10games being too many...hmmmmmmmmm

how about we let'em cancel each other out and hope for a competitive battle this offseason with the best guy prevailing in time for Washington.??

Well, I think JJ's 2 games showed a lot of promise, whereas in the 10 or so games Lee played, he seemed to hit a plateau and did not improve. Naturally it is hard to compare them b/c they played different teams and the defense and WRs did not play well most of the year. But I cant ignore the number of INTs JJ threw vs. Lee. INTs tormented LSU this season until JJ played.

I know what you're saying about the QB competition in the spring, and I'm sure Miles will say he will keep it open for competition, but there is no way Lee will start over JJ.

i believe if we call the same plays as was called in the seasons game people will be screaming for shepard and after a couple of games with him at the wheel with the same play calling they will be screaming for lee back. it was a play calling problem this year not a qb problem.

I dont agree with that. Crowton did the best he could do, but the offense was limited once teams shut down the running game. The play calling was not good in certain places, but by and large throughout the year I think the problem was execution.

wow this is one of the dumbest threads ive ever seen on here. Lee fricking sucks, he got lit up, are you people really this dumb, are you really this blind? who gives a shite if he can beat out JJ and RS in the summer, his problem is in the game, and im not willing to sacrifice another year while waiting for the light to go on in his head, a little voice that whispers, DONT THROW INTO DOUBLE COVERAGE IN OVERTIME.

look, im sure hes a nice kid, and if any of you have his best interest at heart, you'll wish him well as he goes. he will NEVER play at LSU again. EVER. there's only one QB, and its not ever gonna be him. he had his shot, he f'd it up beyond repair. im wish him all the best, i really do.

I guess you didn't see the multiple screen passes lee threw in the dirt and the stands. I almost forgot about the pass in the stands on a slant pass i believe against tulane. There were alot of bad passes to pinpoint one
