Kind like when Saban and Kirby got with Saints DC Greg Williams to practice stopping the option before they played us on 1/9?

It's common practice.

Yeah, I think that was a cover so they could work on something else. We were good for 5 good option plays a year and had already used them all up.

This is so stupid.

A coach making $5 million a year or whatever has to study other schools to figure out how to throw the ball? At this stage of his career? For real?

Yeah, I am not expecting anything from this at all. More BS.

This is the way it works at ALL levels. Les has never run a spread so how else would he learn it? NFL guys have visited colleges to help incorporate spread concepts into what they do. Not saying I have faith that he will follow through with an overhaul but if that's his plan, this is exactly how you go about it.

Yea because spread is all about passing. Coaches have been sharing concepts and techniques for decades, prior to Miles.
No coincidence the most negative posters constantly derp.

I think its laughable to say we contacted North Carolina. That probably consisted of a 2 minute phone call to his son who asked for some money for laundry and then immediately asked Les to put Mom on the phone.

What's pathetic to me is that you've got a coach like Chad Mahaffey who both of Miles' sons have played for who runs a productive, well-executed spread offense with plenty of passing that Les watched just about every single Friday Night home game and then during the open weeks as well.

He knows WTF to do. His ego is what's in the way and anyone who can't figure that out is just being purposefully obtuse or is sadly way more ignorant than the law should allow.

No matter how badly wanted or needed, the reality is over the last couple years LSU hasn't had the accuracy to feature "plenty of passing".

Common practice for every coach in the profession. They all spend their offseasons visiting with each other and picking one another's brain.

So yes, it's for real and not stupid.

His ego is in the way of what? We have the best RB in the country and you want to spread the field? What's ignorant is thinking that running the spread would have changed anything last year. We all saw the impact of having a still young, still inexperienced QB.
