None of the players you mentioned are elite. Therefore, you have no choice but to stop.

You know what, you are absolutely right. Johnny Jones is an awful recruiter. that is the root of our problems

Jones is clearly a terrible recruiter since he ruined our country day pipeline

Will we ever recover?

this is how I feel now that I'm in an argument over whether or not Jones can recruit

seriously, at least give Jones credit for his recruiting abilities

I think he's a solid recruiter. I'm not down on the guy. He needs time to bring in basketball players. He has athletes, not basketball players.

Johnny is a fricking excellent recruiter. Brady was a damn fine recruiter as well. Getting guys to LSU ain't easy

I agree with this to an extent. But this is the type of player that is going to attend LSU. And we've won with athletic guys before.

Brandon Bass' and Marcus Thornton's aren't guys that we're going to land every year.

I am hoping Josh Gray might be the 2nd coming of Marcus.

Again.... What player has he recruited that is excellent?? Using words like that is reason you get upset they are having a disappointing season.

I don't use words like that. That's why I don't get upset at this season. It's a process, it will take time. He's the right guy for the job and will make LSU respectable.

Martin could have gone anywhere in the nation. Mickey could have gone to almost anyone outside of the blue bloods.

IMO this team is close to being damn good. For whatever reason they just can't get over the hump on the road. At this point its mostly mental.

This season doesn't require any over-analyzing...it's simple and applies to every sport.

Play good D and you can over-achieve your talent level. Play bad D and you will surely under-achieve your talent level.

Most championship coaches were defensive specialists while assistants.

Again... That's not what makes you a great recruiter. Martin from Baton Rouge. Mickey from Dallas where he previously coached and had connections

I'll say he's excellent when he goes out his comfort zone.
NYC/jersey, Chicago, La, Detroit. DC areas and lands role players with high basketball IQ
