Some of these posts are crazy stupid. Coach Jobes got a 5* at UNT and the guys he's bringing to LSU are far above the caliber of program we have. He's a great recruiter and I don't think we just burn it all down searching for solutions.

Russian .. I am not sure of the specifics, but I have heard from a number of people that it wasn't good ..

I don't care about recruiting stars and ratings .. I actually care about what they do and how they develop here .. Not really interested in winning the SEC recruiting title ... And a five-star that goes to UNT has a backstory, not a burning desire to play there ..

That's legit. I think it's o.k. to be upset and disappointed about this year. If we are passionate fans we should be IMHO.
It doesn't necessarrily mean we've lost all hope for the future or that we can't have a better year or the next.
It simply means we're unhappy with the underachievent tot this point...this year.
And in my view anyone who doesn't think this year has been an underachievement to this point had an unreasonably low expectation of this team.

Exactly .. People are disappointed .. No one's calling for CJJ's head, just improvement .. To be some apologist hanging your hat on recruiting right now is obliviously silly .. How dumb we are to ask for the on court results that these same apologists were swearing would happen in the off season ..

People are calling for his head and I'm not hanging my hat on recruiting. Just defending against the exaggerations.
That said, I'm disappointed in how things have gone so far, but I don't think people should act like everything is over.

Well, I don't want JJ's head .. Just extremely disappointed in the way this season's gone .. This team may even miss the NIT at this rate .. That would be pretty bad ...

LSU was picked 4th in the SEC and stand at number 6 right now. While not meeting expectations, it's not time to start looking for a tall building to jump from either.
LSU basketball has been in the crapper much of the last eight years and anyone thinking there will be no failures while we try to move the program forward is being stupid.
