He probably just hasn't reported yet. In the Cape league, the don't put guys on the point streak roster until they actually report.

Reached out to one of the host families that we met out in Chatham a few summers ago. From what they're saying, rumor is Lsu shut Caleb down and he will not play this summer.

Ah, thanks for the update. We shut guys down a lot, and I'm completely okay with it.

There is absolutely no need for pitchers to throw anymore pitches than necessary.
Keywords: if necessary
If they need to develop a pitch, learn a new role, command, etc. then it's necessary.
If they are in good health, good standing on the depth chart, have "the stuff" it's not Necessary, imo.
Year around baseball is detrimental to a pitcher and including fall baseball, summer would make it year around. Rest is so beneficial to these young men.

No agent pays for their summer expenses. Man some of the stuff on this board is dumb.

Not agent. That against NCAA regulations. "Lawyer". An ex LSU baseball player told me this during a phone call while he was in the Cape A few years back. I was curious how they paid for living expenses. These are the more rare cases, as baseball is a money sport and a decent majority of baseball families can afford to put their kid up, as they've traveled, housed, and fed them all around the country for the past 10 summers. Nothing different for them

You are still full of it. I am sure some ex LSU baseball player told you this. Lawyer, agent, booster all have the same ramifications from the NCAA. You really believe that an agent would fit the bill for an entire summer? Would love you to prove this and know your sources but that won't ever come out because you are "sworn to secrecy" to keep your cool status with your in to the program.

I'm not saying it has never happened in the history of college baseball because that would be naive, but you acting like it's commonplace and something that is hush hush and people look the other way is ridiculous.

I said this was a rarity. It's usually the the kids similar to the OSU SS. Family didn't have money, uncle paid for him to move to California to showcase his talents. Do you think that nobody has latched onto that kid yet, just waiting to get his slice? You are correct, very naive indeed.

I'm not going to assume that anyone is paying for him this summer. I just asked for proof of someone instead of internet rumors on a kid you know nothing about 2,000 miles away. I'm betting he has an advisor but highly doubt anyone is fronting a summer of expenses for the kid.

Is this something else you are just grabbing out of thin air and reporting it on TD as fact?

As someone who played three summers of wooden bat league in three different regions of the country, you know absolutely jack shite about how it works. You need money, the team offers to help you find a summer job. The host houses you and feeds you from time to time, but they aren't responsible for "providing" for you. You provide for yourself thru the summer job or parents. "If" someone is using outside support, its with full knowledge of violating NCAA rules. There's no exception and it's not a "rare" case; it's a non existent bs case. The kid doesn't go if his provisions can't be worked out legally - FACT

Well lookie hear. Neelaz called out again on his BS. Claims to know everything about everything, yet doesn't know jack shite. No wonder your GF thinks you are a loser.

Why don't you offer your proof then? You didn't ante up after I asked for details about the "ghost call" from the LSU player you "knew" on the Cape who told you this in the first place.

For anyone that wants to watch looks like Nick Webre will be participating in the Prospect league HR derby tonight at 6. I think the event will be streamed via LINK /. Webre continuing to have a strong summer!

As of 7/16:

.348 40-115 4 HR and 26 RBI, 17 SB.

Also Daniel Cabrera participated in the Cal Ripken All-Star showcase this past weekend:

In 4 games he hit .267 4-15 with an RBI and 2 SB's.
Also having a great overall summer:

As of 7/16:

.359 37-103 3 HR 16 RBI and 11 SB's.

Hunter Feduccia is absolutely tearing up the Northwoods league.

As of 7/16

.376 44-117 with 7 HR and 30 RBI!!

He's been on fire in July. He's hitting home runs, doubles, barely striking out, and I think he's thrown out around 50% of attempted base stealers in July.

It took him a bit to get warmed up, and they had him playing every other day for a while. But now that he's on fire like he is, they have him playing 1B and DHing on days when he isn't catching.

I was logging the hitting stats on my spread sheet earlier today and his weekend performance bumped the team's BA by like 6 points. It's kind of absurd how good he's been lately.

I was thinking the same thing....he has been CRAZY good these last few weeks. Has to be the front runner coming in to fall camp at the C position.

Anyone have any insights as to why Woley, Breaux and Beau Jordan have not reported to summer ball? It appears these are the only position guys, not injured, that haven't reported to there respective teams.
