Yeah who knows what Norman's role is at this point. I thought we underused him last year and the same thing happened this year. I would like to see him in the same types of situations that we use Reynolds.

Or as more of a long reliever if a starter gets into trouble early

Valek, too. Didn't throw a pitch in these 4 games.

I completely forgot Valek existed.

No idea what the committee does

I wonder if North Carolina is going to get the 2011 LSU treatment. The committe's excuse was because LSU did not make their tourny. NC didn't make theirs either

Gilbert was amazing tonight. I couldn't be happier with his emergence, and Riley Smith finally has his shite together. Norman looked good and Valek could frick some guys up with his shite from the left side if we need him in spot relief. Our pitching is looking great and we won't face any teams better than what we saw this past week.

Very interested to see how Mainieri lines up the rotation this weekend.

getting only 1 run against gators 5th starting option is a bit dissapointing. Hitting will have to step up if we to reach Omaha

You are refreshingly optimistic. I like this thread.

We're in a good place leaving the tournament. There's a good chance I'll be cautiously optimistic about the regional, but I'll need to see the field first.

The way we lost, by a single run to the #1 team, as opposed to Ole Miss blowing a decisive lead, should earn us some brownie points. Whether that translates to top 8 remains to be seen.

Sorry. I wasn't going to post this, but someone reposted your post, and I couldn't stop myself.
