Predicting a line up with Maneri is pretty much impossible. You have opening series starters that end up buried on the bench and vice versa. Just look at Foster and Schiambra for the last 2 seasons.

Positions will be found for the best 9 hitters. I will never count on much from more than a few newcomers. We have typically had 1 newcomer or 2 in some years hit really well. This year we had zero

Played Ducote and Adams the past three years in juco. Adams will not see the field much, Ducote back up corner outfielder at best unless we have no one else to play there.

I won't go that far but I am concerned he won't be the hitter everyone thinks he will be. The description I got from someone who saw him play a lot is Dave Kingman. And his summer numbers bear that out.

So we're the position players on the roster. I think the DH will be Romero or one of the other Juco guys. Diechmann has a shot at DH as well if he doesn't start in the field.

Beau might have a step on Bryce speed wise, but what you get in one you get in the other. Both are throw back era guys, play hard, play the game in a way that significantly increases their teams chance to win. It will not always show up in the stats, as they will literally do ANYTHING to get on base, move runners over, and get them in!

These guys hit over .400 this past year, I think they deserve a little more credit than that.

Adams will strike out a lot, but the potential is there. Ducote is just a gamer.

Yeah i dont know why anyone would criticize this kid. ive watched this kid play baseball since he was 8 and the young man is a natural. at every stage he showed that he was as good as, if not better than every player with more hype. i fully expect him to be a McMullen, Katz type of hitter, a smaller guy that gets it done.
