Wow. Now that's actually quite reasonable.

lol at UGA being #1 though. That's just ridiculous.

Seven SEC teams among the top 27 vote-getters. The Big Ten and BigXII also getting lots of respect.

EDIT: FSU at #29. Ouch! (Also, ND at #42, and Miami with all of ZERO votes.)

Try top 42, which is actually sub-par for the SEC.

If LSU wasn't in the SEC, our OOC schedule would include the #1, #5, and #11 preseason rated teams. Just goes to show you, as soon as a team joins the SEC, their OOC schedule goes down the tubes!

This makes sense. The coaches seem like they ranke teams by who they think is best at the time. Not like some of these other polls that seem to rank you lower for having a tough schedule. Its like they try to predict where u will finish, not actually rank how good teams are.

Not too much of a surprise. No way the coaches would put the national title winner from the year before outside the top 10. I am surprised that we were ahead of Missou though. I thought we'd be 7 or maybe even 8 behind WV.

I was actually looking forward to some lower expectations cause I wanted to sneak up on people!

ETA: STICKY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm surprised, I thought LSU would be around 10-12.

What's even more surprising is the three no. 1 votes for LSU. Wonder where those are coming from?

I expected a handful of number one votes for LSU because I'm sure there are coaches that are of the mindset that if you finish last season #1 that you are #1 until someone beats you.

I think we'll be a little lower in the first AP poll as most sportswriters probably aren't of that same mindset.
