LSU has as much talent as any team playing in the BCS Bowls, but it all comes down to coaching and Miles offensive philosphy is sub par, hence the Chi- Fil A Bowl again. Miles has hipmotized the LSU Nation that a 10 win season is okay, hence the pay raise and extension. Get use to second tier bowl games cause that's what you get with Miles, ask Okie State fans they went there with this guy.

I'm glad you are satisfied with the Chick-fil-A bowl. The rest of us think it is bullshite. LSU deserves better.

The thought by everyone in the nation was that if LSU ever got a competent QB, then nobody's standing in the way of LSU winning a title.

FFW to this year, and it seems like LSU is still its worst enemy. Whether it be coaching decisions, piss poor execution, and just downright bad luck, it just wasn't meant to be.

The highlight of the season will be the loss to Bama, where everything fell into place...until the last 2 minutes of the game.

that's what it boils down to, really.

I don't see how you can say that. Look how hurt and young we are.

Give me a fricking break. We weren't too young and hurt to outplay the frick out of Alabama. We were just too fricking stupid to win the god-damned thing. We got what we settled for. A Peach Bowl program.

How do you think Bama would've done if they would've lost Milliner, Moseley, Square, Lacy, Barrett Jones, Fluker, and another offensive lineman and replaced most of them with freshmen?

They probably would have outplayed the national champions all over the field and just stupidly given them the game in 40 seconds with the fricking national championship on the line. Oops, sorry, that's us. They would probably just sit back and wait for some idiot to hand them another fricking national championship like they have for the last two years.

Preseason number 1 to Chicken Sammich bowl is a failed season. Deal with it and look forward to 2013!

Bowl bid? No. How could anyone be satisfied with a middle of the run bowl like the Chick-Fil-A bowl?

And with the way this team has performed all year against inferior competition, you really can't say this season has been anything other than a disappointment.

With a bowl win i definitely will be given the circumstances.

We lose Tyrann before the season starts.
We lose Faulk early on. Then Hurst.
Then we lose Williford mid Florida game. And MInter goes out on for one of the two drives FLorida scored on.

Considered we are a 2 minute drill and a fumble away from being undefeated (im a glass full kind of guy) if we win our bowl game i will be satisfied and i am pretty excited about next season.

Please explain these shortcomings. Because you just described lsu.

We were missing 23 scholarship players against UF. Id like to see bama be successful with that. We lost our most important offensive and defensive player in faulk and tyrann.

You dont go into the swamp and win under those circumstances.

Maybe the bowl selection committee fell asleep watching our boring inept offense. The whole fricking country knows that we have a shitty offense. Nobody wants to see LSU play but LSU fans.

true, but we also are missing a number of guys we expected to be key contributors, and that's just not easy to overcome.

but it all comes down to coaching

I thought the coaches did a good job. not great, but good. a lotta ppl thought we were about to go into the tank after the UF loss, and drop the SC and aTm games. or not even be competitive vs. Bama. and yet the sky didn't fall.

Miles offensive philosphy is sub par

I think the philosophy is sound, and the playbook is fine. the situational playcalling leaves a lot to be desired though.

not even sure what to say about this.

agreed...as far the bowl, I don't see a difference between the second tier bowls and feel like that is where we belonged...

if we can win the bowl game and land a top 5 finish, I think that would be overacheiving my expectations when taking everything into consideration...

I'm becoming more and more apathetic as the years go by. I'm one of the fans that believes we should expect to win a title every year and if we don't its a bit of a disappointment. However each team is different but this years def had the talent to do so. Unfortunately we have to many fans and an administration that doesn't mind finishing 2nd or 3 rd in the conference as long as we are "in the hunt". We need to first realize that 10 wins isn't what it used to be considering you play 13 games these days. The difference between us and bama is small but it stems from there program from the top to the very bottom of only be satisfied with winning every play. Not finishing with 10 wins.

Holy shite! We lost 2 games to the #'s 2 and 3 ranked teams by a grand frickin total of 12 points. We lost 8 starters and played the 2nd most freashman of any team while with a new quarterback. You are a freakin idiot.

Im conflicted. I'm ok with the overall record but the way the team played was excruciating to watch at times. I mean the offense was horrible entertainment. Losing the only game that mattered, in the fashion it was lost, was the death knell of the season. And yet we have 10 wins with a schedule tougher than Bama or UGA played.

The bowl is just a final kick in the nuts though and I'm not the least bit interested in seeing Clemson. LSU deserved the Cotton.
