Still though, nothing compares IMO to this moment in the 2007 Florida game:
I put my bourbon and coke cup down on the seat behind me when this happened and it vibrated off and soaked both of my legs. I can't imagine how anything in this entire universe could be that loud. My buddy was screaming into my ear next to me and I heard absolutely nothing he said.

I wasn't in the stadium, but would have figured 2008 when Lsu blocked the potential game winning alabama field goal with under a minute to go in saban's first trip back to BR would be top 5. It sounded loud as frick on TV

I agree with you on the Auburn 2005 game, it was absolutely nuts. I still feel like it was louder that game than any other I've ever attended and I was at 03 UGA and 07 FLA.

I remember The 2005 Auburn game and the 2005 Florida game for being two of the loudest games I have been two. These games were loud from the opening kick-off untill the end. They were both louder than 2003 Georgia and 2009 Florida I can not speak for the eartquake game as I was not there and I was 8 at the time. The 2005 Auburn game was where the most acurate kicker in the SEC in 2004 missed 5 field goals. When he kicked the last one it was almost as if the crowd pushed the ball slightly left to secure the LSU win. The sustained noise generated by the crowd was unreal. This was a very emotional season for LSU as it was following Katrina and Rita and the LSU fans came out and supported their team with a passion that will never be matched.

Not sure if its been mentioned but a great example of some serious noise was the '95 Auburn Bring back the magic game...when Twillie picked that ball off i thought i was gonna go deaf...that was an awesome game and what i believe to be the game that started the dominance we witness today

79 USC game. Almost got crushed getting in the stadium when they opened the gates. Noise never stopped from start to finish.

Yes Sir I was there at the 1979 USC game and have been to many big games in Tiger Stadium since and that was by far the loudest and most electric I have ever seen Tiger Stadium. Florida State in 1982 was pretty damn good to.

I have been going to games since 1976. USC 79 was off the charts in terms of intensity and noise. Even as the desperation last play hail mary pass failed; the students stayed and cheered for the team for at least 20 minutes chanting: "LSU we're proud of you"

LSU/auburn 2001. Students rushed the field and smoked cigars.
LSU/Auburn 2007-The catch by D. Byrd was very loud.
My dad told me that the Norte Dame Game I believe in 71 or 72 was the loudest he heard tiger stadium besides the 59 Ole Piss game.

The loudest game I have been to was the 1997 Florida/LSU game. I was about midway up in the lower south corner of the endzone. The noise was so loud, it was pounding against my chess causing my heart to race. When we scored late, my ears were hurting bad and I tried to talk to a family member next to me but we couldn't hear each other even though we were screaming to each other. It was unbelievable. I loved every minute of it.

Who knows what one single moment was loudest out of any game, but the USC game was an experience like no other. That's why it's always mentioned. The people who weren't there can't figure this out since the game was a loss, but as cliche' as it sounds, you just had to be there.
That chant mentioned above is actually on the DVD - those old broadcasts would pretty much block out any crowd noise, but you can hear them very clearly after the game is over.
A long time ago, someone on this board mentioned that they taped the game when it was on the radio, and I would happily pay to listen to the LSU broadcast of it.
