This team doesn't play with anyone emotion. Could they collective PTSD from Sterling, the police shootings and the flooding? Fournette doesn't look excited, Miles doesn't look like a guy fighting for his job and there is no energy on the sideline. Something needs to change.

You could probably draw a more accurate conclusion by blaming it on Obama, global warming or variable interest rates

If anything, I would think those things would've brought the team closer together. There are no excuses needed. We all know what we have...a team loaded with talent that's become a dumpster fire because it's being coached by an idiot. A potted plant could coach this team to a at least a 3-1 start against the competition we've faced.

Les Miles' outdated offensive philosophy, lack of recruiting in the trenches (4* and 5* depth on the O-line primarily), lack of preparation week in and week out...season after season, and subsequent resulting lack of confidence by the players killed the team's spirit!!!

no...this coaching staff is primarily made up of excellent recruiters not excellent position coaches, with the notable exception of Coach O who excels at both...noticeable fall offs in the WR's ,OL, and Special Teams

Which players were affected by the flood? LSU was high and dry by far. Maybe some players had family affected. But it was many of the fans who spend thousands to see this crap product on the field that lost everything. The play of this team is pouring salt in an open wound for BR at a time when this is our only distraction.

It might have. The Sterling situation and the shooting by the sniper, especially. I've seen it at work, it's been a distraction and division to some, even if they handle it well.
It could definitely affect your concentration, and reaction to pressure and coaching criticism, if you're processing that stuff in your mind and trying to figure out if the people yelling at you have your best interests at heart. I'd imagine black college kids might think a lot about that stuff, and even if they're trying to make their own minds up, the bitching from the stands could look a little different.

I think the floods might have pulled the team together, but it might be too little too late.

Being continually frustrated by inept coaching has killed everybody's spirit. We have been held hostage by the Les Miles offense. Sadly some people (the sunshine pumpers) show signs of Stockholm Syndrome. Sad.
