Looking back, what did LSU learn from the Florida game?

The most frustrating thing was the inability to produce more than 1 run from 9 hits. What could have been done differently to get a couple more runs across the plate?

IMO its be a bit more patient at the plate. I know we got 9 hits but when runners were on base it seemed like the AB was trying to hard to swing for the fences.

that their fans tend to take one loss and extrapolate that to determine how the season went and how the tournament will go

Stallings has no business seeing meaningful innings

Does Stallings have a breaking ball?

I mean he threw 4 fast balls in a row to that guy. The Florida guy just sat their and dialed in his pitches and took the fourth one yard. That 4th pitch needs to be an off speed pitch.

I'm not freaking out about that. That shite happens. Although I fricking hate this phrase

"That's just baseball."

Stay focused. FL wanted it more than we did. There are no gimmes at this stage of the season.

I didn't ask about the fans.

He has one but he probably throws it once ever 4 outings. He has a good changeup, which they almost never call.

In the SC series they mixed the changeup and fastball and he retired the side in order.

Get more hits with people on base

I can see that. There were several hard hit balls right to the outfielders.

I actually thought Stallings looked ok. He made one bad pitch, and that to me is really on Dunn. He called a change-up on the 9 hole hitter with a 1-2 count. I am sure Dunn wished he had that one back.

That said, I don't trust Stallings to save a game based on the last few weeks, but he can play an important role for LSU in the postseason.

Supposedly that's what the guy hit the HR on.

The HR was off a change up.

I thought the HR pitch was a poorly executed breaking pitch. Guess i was wrong.
