In a close game that really matters, Lange will close it out if his pitch count is still low. (He was at 100 pitches and probably could go at least 120 in a championship scenario.) As for the runs, that's baseball. Sometimes the timely hits just don't fall into place. Better there than during NC2a play.

I learned that literally everybody is making us their world series final game, dog piling when they beat us

The most frustrating thing was the inability to produce more than 1 run from 9 hits.

The pitch that was a home run was a 75 mph changeup right down the middle. Stallings has breaking pitches but they don't break....

Had it been tourney time, would Lange have stayed in and closed it out?

Sciambra has regressed horribly.

Stallings...

UF's pitching staff did a good job of "disrupting the rhythm" of our batters.

not to use stallings as a closer.

Stallings will be a key piece going forward, just not in the closers role. I feel this should be Pearson. He is a senior and our best lefty coming out of the bullpen.

We learned that fans place way too much stock in the SEC Tournament, and more specifically in one damn game from it.

Last year's result against Florida was almost the mirror opposite of this year's, and I think it fooled a lot of people into thinking the 2014 team was better than it had been all season. Hence the total meltdown after blowing the second Houston game.

Stallings has blown too many games as of late

But he didn't blow this one, Person blew it in the 8th. Either way LSU needs a run in the 9th. Maybe the hitters press less if they know it's a run to win vs a run to tie, but they still needed a run.
