Yup. I wasn't able to make it to the exhibition game, but watched it on replay on Sunday night on SECN+. It's awesome.

I'm interested to see if Jones tries to work Robinson into the offense. He did a lot of standing around on offense the other day, as of now he appears to be a one way player

Most are picking Arkansas ahead of us. Probably because they don't really lose at home.

They also don't really win on the road. For the talent they have and the coaching (I think he's a good coach, for the record), it is mind-boggling that they can't win away from the big Wal*Mart Superstore.

Fully expecting Robinson's offense to consist of offensive rebound putbacks and easy dumpoffs.

I don't think we need a lot of offensive production from that position because all 4 other players have skilled offensive ability. Still, he needs to be able to put the ball in the net if he is left wide open.

We need Robinson to rebound, block shots, and anchor our defense so that Mickey, Martin and the guards can gamble a bit. Thankfully, that is what he wants to do this year in his own words.

Rebounds and dunks are one thing, standing 20 feet from the basket is another

Baby steps first. They will be a solid NIT team this season. Next year will be the big dance invite. Hopefully JJ will be able to keep the momentum going.

you back right where you left off last year. I admire your consistency.........but not your constant skepticism

I definitely can see Epps blowing up this season. I think either him or Jarell is on the court at all times. When Jarell slides to the four with Mickey at the five we should be able to blow past most teams.

SOS are you with me on this one? I think I've read that line of analysis in your writings and on a couple of sites and I agree with it big time.

I've never doubted Jones. He should make some noise now since every player on this team is his and all of Trent's recruits are gone. I see at least 21 wins this season and with our strength of schedule ( Texas Tech, UMASS, @WVU, and the early season tournament) ,we should see the big dance.

On paper, LSU's SOS isn't very good. Texas Tech is picked to finish last or 2nd to last in the Big 12. WVU is middle of the pack; and UMass likely isn't going to be as good as last season. Couple that with a SEC that may or may not be better than last season, and LSU has little room for era. Just getting 21 wins doesn't put them in the NCAAT. IMO they can't lose more than 2-3 OOC games, and can't afford many "bad" losses in SEC play. The do get 2 shots at UK this year and 1 against UF. 2 of those 3 games are in the PMAC. They can't lose them all if they want to be in the mix in March.

While I really feel LSU should be right there looking at an NCAA birth this season, I don't think hisseat gets very hot if they end up 5th-6th or better in the SEC. He has the #1 player coming in next season, and maybe a couple more 5 star recruits...

This. Jones won't go anywhere until Simmons is in the pros. If those future teams underperform, then he might have something to worry about.

I'm pretty high on Epps. Been hearing good things about him. Not sure how much production we will get from him this year, but I expect him to have a chance in some important games to make a serious difference.

I don't think he will be Martin/Mickey freshman year good, but he could be just a step below that and have some impressive games.

We won at Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Kentucky and 2 games in Maui last year. Though the first two aren't really that impressive.

This team should be by far the best Anderson has had here though so I expect us to not have as many WTF losses.

Glad O'Bryant is gone for you guys
