Let's look at LSU basketball objectively to date...

Nov/Dec did not help our cause, 7-5 in OOC play, some bad losses. That's a given.
Since SEC play started in early January, LSU is 7-3.
3 SEC road wins (@Vandy, @Bama, tonight)
4 SEC home wins (Kentucky, Ole Miss, Arky, UGA)
0 SEC home losses
2 SEC road losses (@UF, @TAMU - #8 in nation, 8-1 SEC)
1 OOC home loss (OU - #1 in nation, by 2 points)
That's the whole of it. No one is going back to fix Nov/Dec basketball. So my question for some is why are you pissed now? We've continued to get better and are #2 team in the SEC. Anyone that wouldn't take 7-2 in the SEC right now has issues IMO.

This team has clearly gotten better since Victor and Hornsby returned.
They can still make things tougher than it needs to be, but that's life with a young team.
We just need to handle business at home and sneak another road won or 2 and we will be fine.

Before tonight we had the 7th best conference RPI in the NCAA. I'm sure that goes down with Auburn win but just shows how much we've helped ourselves lately.

LSU's SEC record thus far has been about as good as you can ask for but........it's hard not to have a bunch of angst knowing that the margin for error is so thin given the early hole the team dug itself.
LSU just needs to keep winning and finish in the top tier of the league and get into the tourney. The seeding won't be anything better than what they had last year but it is what it is at this point

Truth you're speaking it my man. Nov./Dec. hurt bad. A young team dug themselves in a hole and they've done a great job of slowly clawing their way back out. A lot of basketball to be played, but this team continues to get better and I think we'll earn a place in the field of 64. A ton to look forward too the rest of the season.

Newsflash: one can simultaneously enjoy the progress while calling out the sincere lack of focus this team displays in the last 6 minutes after dominating most of the first 34. This is a coaching issue, for the most part.

You clearly don't watch other college games. Blown leads, lack of focus happens on a daily basis. This team is YOUNG its gonna happen

Also they had a 4 minute stretch where they were being lackadaisical. Mostly Victor imo.

This teams starts 3 upperclassmen and only 1 freshman.
Our junior Josh Gray still plays like a freshman at times, I'll give you that.

People need to stop worrying about us making the tournament.
We're in. But I think our seed ceiling will be kind of low, just because they can only ignore our early-season losses (even with guys injured) so much.
We're gonna be a 7-10 seed pretty much no matter what we do from here on out, unless we just completely tank. But we won't, because we're a good team.
Hopefully not an 8 or 9 seed though.
