I love Les, but trying to hold him high after losing to the same team for the 5th straight time is not making it better.

Hugh Freeze holds Saban's nuts in a jar so would you trade Les for Freeze right now?

Tennessee made horrible hires. That is the difference. They hired Kiffin off one year where he was fired as Raiders head coach. They then hired Dooley purely off his name. They then hired Butch Jones that didn't really prove shite prior to being hire.

Easy to say that in hindsight. If we got rid of Les we'd be lucky just to find someone who can replicate his success, much less improve on it.

Stop stalking me. You disagree with everything I ever saw because it doesn't go along with your CLM love. You had nothing to say to me all season until I started ripping CLM

Stoops? hasn't won a national title in over a decade, was embarrassed on national TV a couple years ago at home vs Notre Dame, has allowed Baylor and TCU to pass them by in the Big 12, can't seem to stay ahead of instate rival Okie St. Just got thoroughly rolled by crappy-arse Texas this year.

The ONLY thing he's done is beat Alabama in a Sugar Bowl upset a couple years ago

How good was he at Ok. St...record and recruiting?

When he left Stillwater, his winning % was higher than any coach (min. 2 years) since 1939. Including Jimmy Johnson.

Define Success?

2 SEC titles in 11 years? 3 Division titles in 11 years?

Auburn has more SEC west titles and SEC titles than Les in the last 8 years and more NC appearances and titles than Les.

Since Texas A&M has come into this league, despite LSU killing them, they have the same amount of hardware on their mantles.

Spurrier had 3 11 win seasons in a row and beat the same Clemson team LSU lost to in the bowl game on the road.

That is just looking at the SEC. Hell, Patterson has done more at TCU in the past few years.

Les has not won a BCS bowl since 2007 and has been to one BCS bowl since his last national title.

Again, he's a good recruiter, good man, but has let this team flounder and struggle because he refuses to make the tough decisions with his coaches.

There was literally no reason to bring Peveto back. Steele was a multi-time failure as a DC and a position coach, yet Les hired him to replace Chavis. Again, Les is not as good as someone of you like to believe, and I doubt had he taken over anything but the juggernaut LSU already was in 2005 that this team would be anything more than an annual 8-5 team on average.

----------------------------------------------------

this^^

There's lots of coaches who do MORE with LESS. If you compare recruiting classes with resulting success, Miles is just above average at best.

Or lets push this back 1 year to 9 and your point is no longer valid.

They are ready to fire their $5 million dollar offensive genius

Yet no SEC championships.

Patterson has done more at TCU in the past few years.

And has also got beat by LSU 37-27.

Since Dinardo came LSU has gotten the in state talent. Do you agree or disagree? La or Ms has the highest NFL talent per capita...so naturally when you lock down the state you will get great talent.

Miles has definitely benefitted from the 2003 national title...when we were losing all the recruits to Miami, FSU, Michigan, Nebraska (80's & 90's)etc no one thought it was possible for LSU to win a national championship...since saban showed LSU can win it the kids that would have gone out of state have decided to stay in state.
