Well I didn't think they were gonna steam roll the #3 team in the country ....we won and that's all that really matters

90 yards missing on 3 plays.. two bad drops and holding call alone. Game plan was never for him to throw either.

Perhaps..you are right..

I thought JL did ok...It was his first start in 2 years under a lot of pressure.

The coaches didn't ask him to throw that much...and he about 4 balls dropped..and the last 40 yard pass was deleted by a phantom hold call.

He made one bad mistake when he held the ball in the 3rd and got sacked...and he started throwing off his back foot..

but I am proud of the Tigers...Lee was serviceable

At least another 50 yards of dropped passes and penalty loss

Win is a win but I agree. Our offense as it was tonight isn't going to be effective against a decent defense. Jarrett Lee had some good passes that were dropped but I still think he has no confidence and won't be able to lead us anywhere near a national championship. Not even close.

Fairly moronic post - there were many dropped passes and it's not like Oregon is Elon or Montana. Lets get real or perhaps think before opening our pie hole.

Don't be so sure about that one.
it is a long season. We missed Russell Shep and Lee got it done. Great win - be happy

I'm not totally disagreeing with you but it could have easily been 180 yds passing with those drops and phantom holding call.

I was very satisfied with the running game. The passing game was at least vertical. Some shots were taken down the field. That does make a defense respect the pass. A few deep passes were on target where in the past they would have died before reaching the receiver. The SEC is not very good so I don't expect we are going to have throw it much anyway.

but there were a lot of dropped passes

That would have given him quite a few more yds. Usually couldn't say that with JJ.

And re: the offense not doing well, don't forget this was against the 3rd ranked team.

You have got to be kidding. Ask Green Bay if they feel their backup is an average QB.

I agree that the offense didn't play to the level of the defense, but they did what they had to do. We did have a short field quite a few times, so it is hard to generate a lot of yards. Nevertheless, I'll exchange the 40 points and a win for 500 yds and a loss any day.

you honestly believe flynn was one of the best QB's in the nation when he was at LSU?

Difference is that the offense had an identity, didn't get to cute wiith the playcalling, and actually put points on the board when given the opportunity.
