I love these asinine posts by idiots who clearly never played the game. This was a beautiful game of gained momentum and eventual domination! Just the way you would game plan against a team like Oregon!

I thought JL did ok...It was his first start in 2 years under a lot of pressure.

The coaches didn't ask him to throw that much...and he about 4 balls dropped..and the last 40 yard pass was deleted by a phantom hold call.

He made one bad mistake when he held the ball in the 3rd and got sacked...and he started throwing off his back foot..

but I am proud of the Tigers...Lee was serviceable

My issue, and this is looking ahead to good defenses like Bama, is that for us to have a 'great' season, Lee is going to have to step up, and the receivers will need to improve as well. But, at the same time, it was the first game of the season, we won against the #3 team in the country, so who isn't happy??

I agree too. I think Lee still showed anxiety and confusion in his facial expression and in the way he played. 5th year senior and still scared.....not impressed. Hopefully after a few more games the anxiety will go away. If not......problems. Our Offensive line was bigger that Oregon's. Looked like Oregon defense handled and controlled our O line pretty good. It took too long for our O line to get control of the line of scrimmage. I predict another year of offensive woes. Defense and special teams will carry the team. Just my 2 cents.

It wasn't a great performance, but it was a good one considering the philosophy of the offense is to run the ball down peoples throats. fricking idiot.

Schmuck, that's the philosophy of our offense because he can't throw the ball. Moron. But yes, by all means get behind Lee and say he's a great leader and a great quarterback since we won, but if Oregon had an SEC defense and we had lost the game, you'd be calling for Lee's head. GFY.

Yeah, we can only hope, but I've been hoping this for several years now. Something tells me it ain't gonna change.

There were more than 2 bad passes, and at least 2 of the drops could've been thrown better.. you're an idiot if you think that was a good performance. 10/22 98 yards... great performance.
I'll have to agee, but give Lee the benefit of a doubt with being thrown in with a week or so to prepare as #1.

ETA: What I want to know is did LSU win this game in spite of the QB?

This I will agree with. Other than Lee's first game on the field, I have never been a Lee homer... but I was impressed that with the lack of time to prepare that he didn't make any deadly mistakes.
