Franks is the truth man. He's gonna do just fine here once Harris graduates

Has anyone told Harris about his future plans running the offense?

Not true. A fleet of foot QB in a pro style offense is one hell of a weapon. Just have to coach them up

LSU has proven that it can't coach up a dual threat to read a defense or throw a football.

No more science projects.......sign a QB not an athlete or the system will continue to be a failure.

Tell me the last QB Ole Miss has developed? Tell me the last QB Ole Miss has sent to the NFL. I know, but how long ago was that???

it's about the talent. Once Ole Miss gets NFL talent at the QB position they will send a QB to the NFL. Same goes for every school including LSU.

I think they see a great arm action in Franks, much like mett...the kid has a gun and he has played under center, Shea hasnt but def looks more polished as a QB...

What I See...

Felipe - Tall, Rangy, Great Arm, ok ability to scramble (not really quick) but better than Mett... (I could see them having similiar careers which would be good...I like how is high school coach has him looking safetys off and passing to the other side of the field... Def will come in handy..

Shea - Polished passer, a very good athlete, can avoid the rush. (which is what we need, someone to make one guy miss and still look down field) Smart, and has good instincts...Kid is gonna be a player no doubt..

all in all id love for both to be at LSU and have them compete for the job...Although i think Shea would win the job earlier because he is more polished...

This is nonsense. Ole Miss just hasn't developed a QB and it had nothing to do with can't get talent

Snead - #2 high school dual threat came from UT (Texas), they got Masoli - from Oregon, off the field stuff and 2150 pass yards 670 rush yards 28 total TDs his last year in Eugene
Wallace - from JUCO (#1 dual threat JUCO)
Randall Mackey - this guy was once rated ahead of Cam Newton in the JUCO QB rankings

Let's not forget they just got Chad Kelly, a hard headed spoiled brat from JUCO who was originally from Clemson and the #5 dual threat QB out of high school.

Why are you changing the subject? You said can you blame the kid. Ummm, from what I can tell, LSU has done a lot more with QBs since Russell was developed at LSU, than Ole Miss has done with QBs since Eli, and that is saying something.

See, this is what I am trying go say in just about every thread on this. Even though we don't get Patterson, Franks has immense potential, and while he isn't as good as Shea now, by year three at LSU, he will be the QB the NFL is salivating over. He is the type of guy that will be developed into a star.

In all honesty based on what we've all seen (minus ZMett) can you blame the kid?

The kid can go anywhere he wishes to go.

Having said that, LSU is 103-29 in the last 10 yrs. and Miss. is 58-66. LSU has played in 2 NCGs and Miss. none. LSU currently has 2 pro style QBs earning a NFL check and Miss. none. LSU has had pro style WR doing pretty good in the NFL and Miss. hasn't.

In all honesty, the kids decision is more than a tad strange when you compare the results of the 2 schools and their success at sending guys to the NFL. imo
