That's some guy with sand in his vagina belittling Shea's talent... has no comment on his decision to leave unless you're looking for subtext.

Shea doesn't run a pro style offense at Calvary. It's a shotgun spread offense. Also he very much can run with the ball. You guys are retarded.

It's even funnier how some posters like to pretend the kid was born and raised in Louisiana and should be some kind of LSU lock when he's been here for 2 years.

He is a great QB, he appears headed elsewhere. I don't know why it is personal. It is not like we didn't try to recruit him.

You mean by wasting a staff position?

You can't be held hostage by one unproven recruit... Period.

I get it. But why don't we at least get a 3* pro style just so the transition is easier?

Can't you people just watch their f'ing highlights and judge for yourselves? Patterson probably runs as much if not more than Franks. He's actually faster. Franks is a prototypical pocket QB who is athletic enough to call occasional running plays for. Franks is more comparable to Russell and Davey in mobility coming out of high school. Dual threat means the guy can throw AND run. It doesn't mean he runs better than he throws. It doesn't mean he can't throw. He's f'ing 6'6" with a cannon! Judging from his film he's no better than a 4.7 40 guy. He can be whatever the offense requires. Man the ignorance with this fan base is out of control. Stop misinterpreting the phrase "dual threat"... It's actually a good thing. To be clear I think both QBs are very good and BOTH are DUAL threat. In fact I would bet everything I own that if Patterson wasn't a pasty white boy he would be labeled a dual threat by every recruiting service.

So why in the f is he letting this Shea kid go to Ole Miss????

Exactly how is Les "letting" him go?

If Patterson leaves, so be it. There's not much we can do about it. It was obviously a family decision since OM doesn't exactly shoot QB's into the NFL. And it's f'n Oxford Mississippi.
I'd rather have him than not, but we'll be OK. a single recruit doesn't make or break a class, let alone a team.
Franks will be more than serviceable, and I assume we'll continue beating Ole Miss even with the phantom "hiccups" you speak of.

This kid is following his brother. We offered his brother a job, then Olemiss came along and offered him a better one. Offering him anything higher than they did would be insane and I'm not going to lose any sleep over losing a kid like that. Good luck to him, we got a pretty damn good QB already committed

Shea played at a private school in Shreveport. He is overrated. Let him go where he wants to go. We just need a competent game manager and we will run over people.

You are an embarrassment of an LSU fan.

Because TD idiots think it is a waste of time to go after 5 star players. They think 3 stars are easier to get, low self image.

Watch Shea's video and then Franks and tell me which is the pro style and which is the dual threat? Want me to give you a hint? Even in an interview when he was asked what he considers himself, Shea said that he is more of a dual threat QB.

Also WTF is this bullshite y'all keep going on about? Didn't Bama's dual threat just put up monster numbers in a pro style offense? What did they do next, they went out an got another dual threat. Watch the boy's tape. I don't know how they categorize these guys (they list him as prostyle), but he is about as dual threat as you can get.

Hell TCU's dual threat QB/WR just put up numbers like gangbusters in an air raid offense.

Tell me the last QB Ole Miss has developed? Tell me the last QB Ole Miss has sent to the NFL. I know, but how long ago was that???

From the highlight videos, Patterson looks much better that Franks. But if our staff says that franks is better then ok.

Franks seems like a nice kid too, so i guess we'll see.

When Ole Miss goes full Snead next year and loses six or more games, Freeze will be on the hot seat and Patterson will be back in play. High expectations have always been poison for the Rebbears.

Jeez some of you are fricking idiots. Where has anyone on our staff said Franks was better? Franks was offered. Patterson was offered. Both were recruited hard. Franks committed and it doesn't seem Patterson will. So somehow that translates that the staff doesn't want him? What rational did you use to come up with that? The staff does, obviously, believe that Franks will be a great QB for LSU. I agree with this.

Also to the earlier comment that LSU doesn't go after 5 star players because 3 star are easier...what the frick kinda narcotics have you dabbled in before making that post???
