How does your logic dictate such an assumption?
Link? It was my understanding that Arkansas expressed interest, Les considered interviewing and/or weighing his options, Alleva and his superior negotiating skills went all-in with his money over FOMO (fear of missing out.)
In a super hypothetical way(cause this would never happen for you), if you were currently employed and another company was interested in interviewing you... Let's say they began to consider actually hiring you and paying you more than your current company, but your current company decided to give you a big raise before you had time to weigh your options....
I know as insanely far-fetched as that situation sounds...
Would that make you a bad person by default?
And if you think that makes Les a bad person, then you must hate all coaches, but that would make us both agree that it would make Nick Saban the absolute root of all evil, so there is that...

Les was owed it for the 2011 season. Alleva and the board gave him the buy out. That's on them.
Les never promised the fans anything about changing the offense.
