Les Miles appreciation thread!!!

Today is certainly a day that EVERY LSU fan should be happy to have Les as our head football coach. In this day and age of college football with all of the money and cheating going on, players being caught for NCAA violations, coaches being caught for them and trying to cover them up, and our DAMN STRONG coach handled things the right way.
We have a player who received improper benefits from an assistant coach. That player never played a down at LSU and that coach was fired. Everything was reported to the NCAA and we imposed sanctions on ourselves. Because Les did the right thing we actually come out ahead, and with less than we imposed.
I know the guy can be tough to handle at times on the sideline, but it sure seems like he is running this ship the correct way...and winning a ton of football games while doing it.

The real hero here is our compliance department...I'm sure theyre the ones that told the AD's and the AD's are the ones that told Les that he had to fire DJ.

I like to think that LSU's name came up in all that crap because Lyles name was connected to LSU. That doesn't mean he did anything illegal for us though. His name came up with the illegal doings of Oregon, it got connected to LSU, so people will automatically (and hopefully incorrectly) assume that he was doing the same illegal dealings for LSU.

Oh I'm sure that there are a long list of people who did one hell of a job in dealing with this the correct way. Les gets all the blame when something goes wrong though, so in my opinion he should get equally the same amount of credit when something is done right.

No, not directing it at you in any kind of way. Just speaking in general.
I myself have been critical of some of Les' boneheaded moves. Today is a day he deserves a lot of credit though.

I have supported Les Miles after watching how he and the team performed during his first season at LSU. I can't say that I was tremendously happy when he was hired, but I have been pretty happy with him, and an avid supporter of his, since his first bowl win. I believe that he has integrity, does things the right way, seems to learn from mistakes, recruits very well, the players love him and he wins!
Les Miles is a better head coach right now than he has ever been. What's not to like about him going forward?
