Do you mind if I send that to a friend of mine. He's putting together a book of clever jokes, and I can't stop laughing at your post.
Damn, that's got to leave a mark.

My issue is more in the way you come off as a sanctimonious prick about this. Like the players owe you something and they're somehow betraying you by not staying and "fighting for a championship", or however you put it. And you really showed your true colors with this little nugget:
Affect my life? Animated? It's a message board. In the grand scheme of things, I don't give a flying frick about this. Using strong words doesn't automatically equate to being "mad" or overly emotional about something.

Staying another year doesn't prevent anyone from "supporting their family". (Lamest excuse ever, as if waiting one year is going to keep someone out of the poor house).

How does it affect your life that you get so animated about it?

And you conveniently ignored the fact that sending players to the NFL at a high rate is a HUGE recruiting draw.

them leaving early hurts the program. This has been stated and proven on here multiple times by countless people.
You cannot be this fricking stupid. You think five-star players sign here because they really like gumbo? When we put players in the NFL, recruits want to come here, period. That makes the program better, dumbass.

We've been an NFL factory for almost two decades.

i'll bet all of your conversations go like this, Tiger_n_ATL:
Reasonable person: I'm feeling a little tired today. I don't think I got enough sleep last night.
Tiger_n_ATL: Fatigue is a symptom of cancer and HIV.

The championships are leaving with the early exits by the players. I couldn't give two shits about the NFL, I would rather see the players fight for LSU and stay to compete and win championships.

You do realize the goal for these young men is to get to the NFL.... If they can win a title while in college, awesome. But it's about getting to the neck level.
And a lot of people don't like hearing that.
this...we are pretty much hardcore fans of minor league baseball to be honest

I don't see how any LSU fan would want to see the team's best players leave early. I don't. I get it though...they have to take their NFL opportunity when it presents itself.
I think what ATL is saying is if we are always losing underclassmen to the draft when they hit their stride....then it does make it harder to win a NC. You can't replace that experience and talent level right away.
Even if we are recruiting well (which obviously we are), you're still forced to perpetually play younger players, which again makes it difficult to get all the way to the top.
2006...you just don't like the way he framed his whole response.....that doesn't make him totally wrong.

That sure is a lot of NFL talent to only have one SEC Championship game appearance.

Just watched 2 videos of him and was impressed that he doesn't speak goofy anymore.

I don't often agree with you, but I think you're dead on with this one.
Imagine what we would have done last year with Eric Reid and Kevin Minter...
Imagine what we could do next year with Hill, Landry, and Beckham....
It's a hard measurement to gauge because we haven't had many offensive players get drafted, and aside from last year, there hasn't been much of a dropoff in production on the defense since Chief has been here...
I think you'd have to go back to 2008 to see a clear example of the draft REALLY hurting our team... LSU is good for the "next man up" in that respect.
However, experienced talent always trumps raw talent.

Unfortunately for ole Les, LSU fans care more about SEC and NCs than we do about nfl picks.
