Les hates all non-LA recruits. His comments alone have scared off Clowney.

I don't think he meant to exclude Flynn. And Flynn probably wouldn't take it personally. Miles was probably trying to up-talk LA football talent.

What game was Matt Flynn honored at this year? (I think it was ULM) Miles had to walk about 25 or so yards to meet Matt (the whole time doing his Les Miles clap) then they had a long hug.

Matt Flynn helped Les Miles beat Miami 40-3, then helped him win a national championship. The way in which Les Miles approached Matt that night on the field, I think it's safe to say Les Miles will not forget Matt Flynn anytime soon. I think you're reading into that too much.

If you listened to Flynn's post game interview after the BCS National Championship it was obvious that he is as "purple and gold" as anyone who ever played for LSU.

I'm sure Miles was just talking to the crowd.

He was here for 4 years before he got to start. Maybe that made him an honorary Louisianian.

...But Dorsey and Hester were probably more of the leaders on that team.

Les did not sign Matt Flynn. He was referring to the classes since he has arrived recruiting at LSU. MF was already here.

Christ, why do people feel the need to breakdown EVERY sentence the man speaks?

He's talking up the state - is that so bad?

Jeeez, I was kidding, lighten up, it was just a funny comment, everyone knows what he meant.

I missed it. Out of curiosity, what did he say? Flynn's one of my all time favorite QBs.

Not being critical, I love Les, I just thought it was a funny misspeak.

I think that you are just being an arse. Why can't you find something positive to say.

Miles was playing to the crowd. Also the quarterback is always a leader on the field. You can't avoid the leadership role on the field when you touch the ball almost every single offensive play. Some are more quiet leaders but to say Flynn did not lead the team is stupidity. The offense runs through the QB. Some are not as effective in the leadership role but Flynn was solid.
