Bro? I'm not your fricking bro. What are you, twelve?

I just think idiots calling Jarrett Lee a pussy don't know shite about football.

Lee is the QB of this team. The fan base needs to get behind he and the team. Lee will fine back there. Better than we would have been.

Chill bro - no ones calling him a pussy. But shying away from contact while throwing affects accuracy.

I honestly didn't see JL looking "afraid" to be hit. He stood right in there and took one to the chin on one long throw.

JL certainly has flaws. He probably is never going to be a "good" QB. But, if he can be above average, and I think he can, we're gonna be a tough out this year.

+1 - it's obvious we're not going to be a 300-yard passing team this year. Hopefully JL can avoid big mistakes and we can win games with D and by running.

We must have watched different games, because he wasn't shying away from contact, and took some hits after delivering the ball on more than one occasion.

He does tend to throw off of the back foot a little more than I like, But I don't think it's because he's scared of contact.

Well whatever the reason he does it doesn't really matter, but he still throws off his back foot. And no I don't think JJ would've done much better. But I was hoping that Krags had our qbs turning a corner this offseason. It's only 1 game, but it appears we've got the same problems at qb that we've had for the past few years.

Im not being biased when I say this but I believe he can have a 300 yard passing game. He had close to 100 yard off just dink-and-dunk passes. Once they open up the playbook on him more then he will have more yards. I think the coaching staff wanted to play it safe by not putting to much pressure on him to make easier competitions to start out of the right foot, building Lee's confidence. Yes, several drops but if caught would put him in the 150-200 passing yards easily. They just let serve a Greg McCory (sp) role and asked him to protect the ball while establishing a run. I see a lot of room for improvement.

Stop pointing out to anyone who comments on player that that person couldn't have done any better. It's needlessly obvious.

I wasn't impressed - looks like we're the same team as last year - great running team, great D, and bad QB play.

last year's team didn't convert opportunities the D and special teams gave them the way this offense did last night.

That comment was referring to the fact JJ could have been the QB, so Lee was "better than we would have been"

Unless our running game gets shut down, I think we saw as much of the playbook as we'll see this year. If Les could win 14 games like that this season, then that's what he would do. He's not going to throw anymore than we absolutely have to. Now what happens when we play a team who shuts down the run? I dunno, but we'll have to throw and catch better to have a chance. The potential is there, I just hope we don't have to rely on it often.

Ahh, my bad. Yeah I agree that JJ likely wouldn't have done much better. I was just hoping for a higher standard.

And you must be 11. First of all you are the one using the word pussy. I know and have played football. Anyone who can't see Lee's unnatural aversion to getting hit is the one with the issues. Getting mad and calling others names will not change that fact.

It does not mean anyone is against Lee. In fact I stated he could be a great QB. Its like if he were your brother or son. You can see the problem. You can also see the potential if the problem can be addressed. It doesn't mean you are against him.

Because you're a douche nozzle sitting behind a keyboard while he's on the field.

This kid has taken his lumps on the field and by wonderful Tiger "supporters" booing him. He stood up to it all.

WTF have you done?

the difference this year could be throwing and running from the same sets, you can't cheat as much as teams could last year. The passing game may not be that great, but a few completions like the one to Peterson last night will greatly benefit the running game.

How do you know he's scared? Do you live in his head? Truth is, you don't know, you're just speculating.

Lee has probably played football his entire life. I doubt he would still be playing if he was scared to take a hit, and the coaches wouldn't stand for it.
