Lee/Jefferson combo is better than the singular of either

There will be a defense eventually this season that will have our receivers covered, and then will start to put eight in the box.
Thats when the hat will Jordan jefferson there arse!
Welcome back Jordan. We are a much better team with both you and Lee.
I think the team needs both Jordan and Lee to put this stuff to bed. Stand beside and cheer each other on. (not that you aren't already) But publicly Put it to bed. Make a statement. When its all over and you have a ring, you can talk about how much awesome you both were when your kids are playing together ten years from now.
Even if you aren't the starter week in and weekout, ask Joseph Addai, he split time with two different backs (Broussard and Hester)his senior year at LSU and look how his career turned out.

It sure has worked extremely well in the past 2 seasons.

Dual RB systems work. Dual QB systems and Co-Defensive coordinators do not.

What you don't understand is that you don't just shut down a properly executed pro style power offense. It may not be flashy, but it is the one offense that has stood the test of time and not a gimmick. If you load the box, you simply throw on them. If they drop back, then you run. That is what you guys don't get...the JJ pumpers. He doesn't bring that threat of pass so they just continue to load the box and MAKE him beat them with his arm. Lee has proven he can, in fact, beat them with his arm. You guys just can't seem to comprehend that.

Les has already stated what he intends to do pretty damned clearly.

he has stated JJ will play some in certain situations. That is about as clear as mud.
Look dude. I enjoy having a top 20 offense scoring 38 points a game. I enjoy not turning the ball over. I enjoy beating teams by 25 points a game. i enjoy actually being able to capitalize in the redzone with mostly td's. I enjoy having a passer that even on a bad day throws for 150 yards....I enjoy being able to complete a third and long for a first down....I enjoy the improved third down efficiency......finally, I enjoy NOT having to see a deer in headlights. Sorry if you don't enjoy all of the above, because that is the details of this offense compared to the last two years.

this offense is still being very closely managed to limit mistakes and struggled against Kentucky.

And it is completely comical that you include Ole Miss who had possibly the worst pass defense in the nation last year, and it is borderline comical that you include Texas a&m because as you have seen......not a good pass defense at all. Of course, I understand you HAVING to include those games, because, if you don't...welll you don't have any to include. Also, Alabama was a decent game by him...but then again, he needed JL to come in a bail him out or LSU likely loses that game.

You guys are so easy to Bait and hook

while I am a fan of the JL-led offense, JJ does indeed pose a passing threat when he is inserted as a run option......
the kid was getting praise from big time folks over the summer, so don't think for a moment he's that bad. he has also shown he can throw a good long ball on a semi-consistent basis.
Until JL falters, he is the Tigers QB. BUT, making defenses respect LSU's arsenal has distinct benefits.

I don't care how close they are managed, or what they do...I enjoy them scoring 38 points a game...and I'll take a struggling 35 points and 28 point win every day of the week and twice on Sundays. What does being "very closely managed have to do with anything" as it relates to scoring? Who cares, as long as they score points.

So, when the defense puts 8 in the box our response would be to put in the worst passing qb we have
Awesome logic

The Jefferswag pain train leaves the station this Saturday. Get aboard and deal with it.

meh......it will be and should be closely managed.....that's typical. the running game did struggle, but I do give some credit to apathy. the passing game would have been VERY solid had our WRs been sharper.
