Please. Loston will be 5th round at best after watching his angles to the ball, missed tackles, lack of tackling fundamentals, Injury history, and failure to locate the ball in the air.

This safety class is weak, he'll easily be one of the first 2-3 safeties off the board.

Poster some how made a mistake.
Obj is projected late 1st early second
Landry mid second
Collins is rated. #54 late second
Loston is rated #1 SS believe it or not
Johnston is rated to go in the 3rd
Ego high 2nd
Mett low 1st
Hill 3rd

If Johnston came back he move up to first in the 2015 draft
It would be a very bad move for him to go out

There is an abudance of people who cannot read posting in this thread.

The OP says that the only LSU UNDERCLASSMAN projected by Sporting News to go in the first two rounds in Collins. Then he says that Mett and Loston, WHO ARE SENIORS, are the only other tigers projected to go in the first two rounds.

Jeez.

Read it again. LC is only underclassman projected. Other two are seniors.

Ah thanks.. I will not edit my post though because it makes zero sense that Jarvis "Jerry Rice" Landry is not projected in the first 2 rounds

The OP is stating that SportingNews.com has projected what he has posted.

I'm not saying I agree with that, I was just trying to clarify for the confused people.

There will be no LSU players drafted in the first round this year, though.

Hill will be in the first of 5 backs taken and Landry and Beckham will be the first of 7 WRs taken. The first round will be mostly pass rushers, QBs and OL. Watkins and Evans go in the first and Landry goes in the second with Lee, Adams, Matthews, and Richardson.

I really hope Collins stays because he could be a top 10 pick next year. Having two years at LT will make him better prepared for the NFL. Ego could be good with a year finally under his belt and Freak's stock can't go but up with another year of experience.

What? Those are the two best receivers in the country. You're crazy to think they won't go first round

He may be one the first three safeties off the board, but it won't be until rounds 4-6. No team is going to look at that tape, along with injury history, and say I'm spending a 2nd or 3rd rounder on this. Most teams will take the best Player available left on the board at that time. Wish Loston well, but being realistic that's where I see him likely being drafted (rounds 4-6).

That sounds like projections made before the season. You got a link?

Loston is exactly what a strong safety in the nfl is. A great tackler and great hitter. He will be top 2 rounds easy. Chavis put him in some bad situations causing him to single cover good receivers.

sorry if a couple of you can't read! Sporting News projection for the NFL draft has no LSU Tigers projected in the first round; 3 LSU players are projected to be drafted in the 2nd round... L. Collins is the only LSU underclassmen projected to be drated in round 2, along with two LSU seniors, Mett and Loston... at least geauxjo and others can read!

Some of these prognosticators need to find another job! Landry will be the most successful NFL player of the bunch...probably Collins will be the next in line in terms of success on next level...but I wouldn't take out any bets on anybody else personally...being good in college is one thing...Metts mobility will hurt...OBJ is inconsistent...jmho....and the rest are a crap shoot...surprises never cease...

Landry and Beckham have been anywhere from late 1st to the 2nd round from what I have seen and heard. I haven't seen Beckham lower than 2nd round.

Rt, cus LSU is the only school that allows players to enter the draft 3 years removed from hs.

There really is no diff in money from round to round. The 6year 40mil contracts are gone for rookies.

I think Bridgewater, Mariota, Manziel, Carr, Hundley and MAYBE Boyd will all go ahead of Mett.
