Obviously, Travinski cannot play first base. I understand benching Jones due to excessive strikeouts, but why not put Tre at first and Kling in left field? This seems like an obvious move to me.

I'd like to see Morgan at 1B, Kling in LF. Travinski can DH. There is the risk of needing Travinksi at catcher, but Jones or Frey could handle that in the rare situation that Milazzo couldn't finish a game.

Because Kling has barely gotten on base since returning from injury. He’s 2/12 with 1 BB and 4 K. Overall he’s .167 in conference play.

Catching is pretty important at 1st base as well

Jones has double digit home runs and a batting average over .300.

He already dropped a throw and did not cover first on the slow roller to Dugas.

In his last 5 games he's 0 for 13 with 9 k's. I love Jones, but he's looked really bad lately

If he puts Travinski at 1b during regional coach deserves all the ridicule when it backfires
I’m hoping this is a one off
Jays getting a pass when pm would have been blasted non stop

I can think of quite few MLB catchers that play/played both C and 1B. One requires much less skill/athleticism/hand eye coordination/arm strength than the other.

I think the Rant and the coaching staff underestimate the importance of 1B. They seem to think any large human that plays catcher can also play 1B.

It's going to costs us in the postseason at some point.

Put your All American Tre back at 1B

Put Kling in LF

Let Travinski, Jones, and Beloso rotate at DH

Another poor play by our first baseman who does not belong there.

Jones has the 3rd highest fielding percentage, as well as the third highest batting average. Second in home runs and RBIs.
