We could have a practice the night before where all the students come to the stadium instead of partying and practice a multitude of cheers. This would make for a super exciting Friday night!!!

While we're at it, we could kick out all the female cheerleaders and grab our nuts.

You'd have better luck getting everyone to say "SUUUUCCCCCCCCKKKKK" then when the ball is kicked "THAT TIGER DICK"

We can't even do the pregame clap in unison. You think that would work?

Its pretty ridiculous how bad it gets so quickly. If people would just clap when the drum major steps, everything would sound close enough.

I actually have gotten most of the people around me to do the same, and we are all together.

As does the speed of sound.

eta: apparently. Bmath already covered this.

Why doesn't the crowd yell "TIGERS!" right when the ball is kicked.

Back in the 80's, that's exactly what we did. It was:

"Gooooooooooooooooo...

*kick*

...TIGERS!"

*Band flourish*

That's how I remember it anyway.

I think just with all the TV timeouts around scores these days, people forget what they're saying by the tinme the ball is kicked.

Nah, just seems like everyone wants coordinated cheers and new traditions and such lately, so I am going with the flow.

You know, and this doesn't just go for you but there's absolutely NOTHING funny about rape.

I wish these kids would just stop with that shite.

I got no problem with "STAAAAAACKED!" and "FUUUUUUUCKED!", or 'fricked in the arse', or 'tea-bagged', or any of that other stupid shite, but the whole rape thing is just old and tired - and never has been even remotely funny.

Indeed I did.

This link explains was the speed of sounds makes stadium cheers sound out of sync: LINK

Unfortunately it uses Bama as a case study.
