No reason a guy like that that wants to coach at LSU shouldn't be. I'm fairly certain he can teach kids how to block in college football.

Yeah that's what we were missing on Saturday. An OL coach.

His 6th grade football team went undefeated this year so he does have a better record than 98% of CFB coaches...sounds like you're on to something.

Special teams?

There's no way he can do worse and there's probably not a better spot for him to cut his teeth

By this logic Michael Jordan would automatically be a successful NBA GM too.

Are we just going to every extreme now? Our offensive line is still a great unit. Our guards just were outmanned by more experienced/stronger players.

Can he teach our OL to realize what a stunt is? Clearly Grimes has no idea since Bama has killed this offense with it two years in a row.

As much as people want to whine about the OL getting their stuff shoved in, the fact that no adjustments were made with regard to stunts shows pathetic in game coaching.

Good for Grimes, he can coach against outmatched teams physically, but when the tables are even, his OL gets their stuff packed in.

His OL dominated the Florida front 7. Plus, he has so far recruited lights out.

This is a really shitty idea, and you should feel bad for suggesting it. Grimes has done a really good job with the line.

Calling out the current staff on twitter is not the best way to go about it. Mawae is a great Tiger and may have the ability to be a fine coach, but he's not going to get there unless he stays off social media.

here we go again. The Mawae stuff is jumping the gun, dude will find a job. But these excuses about how LSU players were done in once again by the much better Alabama players need to quit.

LSU once again looked like a team not prepared to play ball. And this was primetime. Inexcusable! But this is a sign of Miles' teams. they should have been all over these people from the start.

grimes has been outstanding. The OL has been outstanding.

The performance in Sat was as bad as you could imagine. But it doesn't outweigh the rest of the year and the general development shown.

The OP is an idiot.

I don't really necessarily think he needs to replace Grimes. He just needs to be on staff. Make him the special teams coach. Give him some office title. Whatever you have to do. The guy wants to be there. He'll be great for recruits. He'll be a great resource for Grimes. It's a can't lose move.
