this is West Virginia we are talking about. They can hold their own, and then some.
While true they're only use to catering to their own fans. I'm sure they've never seen a traveling opponent like what we'll bring up there this year.

we drank a bar empty in Atlanta for the SEC CG in 2001 and 2003. The owners were even LSU fans and still unprepared.
That's just wrong.

The patio bar in Tempe a lot of LSU fans went to when LSU played Arizona State ran out of beer. Anyone remember that?

For what it's worth, liquor stores are few and far between here. If you are looking for more than just beer you have to go to a BF's. The best to go to is probably right off the interstate 68 towards Cumberland, exit 7 not hwy 7.. There's a shopping cent with an outback, lowes, a grocer, and a OK cigar shop.
That's a large one on Don Knotts blvd but it's a bit harder to get too and there is much more traffic.

If I were a bar owner in Morgantown, I'd get on the phone with some of my counterparts in Knoxville....when I was there in 2006, just about every bar in town had a refrigerated trailer parked next to it!!!!!
that's because in 2001 we drank Knoxville dry. The paper ran an article about it the next day. Supposedly the bars had to buy up all the beer in the stores, and they still ran out.
And we LOST that game.

That is true. Because the original "Hill Billy" term was from Scottish Irish Decent that wanted out ot the country for religious reasons so they came here and settled in WV. We know that drinkin Jamison is one step short of shine and what it will do to you after a bottle of wine - uh well at least I know...

its been a long time since we've had an OOC game of this magnitude...Ohio State fans flocked to Morgantown in 1998, thats still the largest group of away fans ive ever seen in Morgantown...Auburn brought a good bit, but it was a damn thursday so the tailgating atmosphere blew...
LSU is known for their partying, like us...but i think you will be pleasantly surprised at how much alcohol is consumed in Morgantown an a game weekend...

Somebody needs to tell these people to call Blacksburg, VA, and ask them what happened when the town ran dry.

These WVU businesses have no clue about the alcohol consumption headed their way....
I had friends go to the Washington game and two of the three bars they attended ran out of beer.

y'all aren't getting the message....if i'm a Morgantown bar owner, i'd be calling my counterparts in Blacksburg and Knoxville to get an idea of what the LSU fanbase is like....

When I flew up to the Washington game in 2009 I heard a similar thing. I talked to a group of guys that said on their flight up, the plane was almost exclusively heavy drinking LSU fans. The flight attendants had to make an announcement at some point mid air to notify everyone on board that all the alcohol had been consumed.
Granted who really knows how stocked up that flight was to begin with...

Dub V can drink with the best of them. Great place to party. Good luck to the Tiger faithful that make the trip.
