One thing I noticed with JH is he looks very slow in the first 20 yards but then hits a gear and explodes the last 20. I would like to see him timed in the 60 and see what he runs. Game film doesn't lie and JH has remarkable vision and balance.

I think Seattle is going to blow out Denver.

Landry "might" have had is draft stock go down, but he might get picked up by a better team going later in the draft. He was always a late 2nd to 3rd round guy. If his numbers go up a little at his pro day...the film speaks for itself.

Also, Hills 10 yard split was 1.56s. Which was 1 of the best out of all RBs. And the guys that had better 10 yard splits than Hill were smaller than Hill.

And for football, especially RBs and pass rushers, the 10 yard split is a better indicator for speed. Its the time for the 1st 10 yards of the 40. Basically, its how quick and explosive the guy can go from standing still in a stance to running. How quick can they get out of their stance and get up to top speed. Can this guy get up to speed in his first few steps or is he a long strider that doesnt hit full speed util 15 yards or so?

And Hill did extremely well at that. Better than De'Anthony Thomas.

Borderline....

This class is loaded at WR though. And the guys ahead of him didnt really hurt their stock today At best, he will be the 4th WR taken. Which is a late 1st / early 2nd typically. I dont see him going ahead of Watkins, Evans (even though Im not high on him), or Benjamin. The 6'5 220lbs WR are valued so much in todays football that both Evans and Benjamin are no brainer 1st rounders.

And guys like Brandin Cooks, Moncrief, and Matthews will be moving up as well. Especially Cooks and Matthews. Cooks arguably had the best day today.I think he is in the same boat as OBJ. Borderline 1st rounder. And Matthews was considered a great WR prospect without elite athleticism. Well, he proved everyone that said that wrong. 6'3 212lbs with a 4.46s and the biggest hands out of WRs. Hes been a top 3 WR IMO. And then went out and dominated today.

If it wasnt for such a loaded WR class, yeah I would call OBJ a 1st rounder.

I saw a comparison of Jarvis Landry to Hines Ward yesterday and I think that's spot on. Same size, speed, physicality, and overall type of WR.

Despite his combine numbers, he'll still be a 3rd-4th rounder and end up having a really solid NFL career.

Until the draft happens... nope Not

I knew he would put up good #s at the combine. Hes very athletic. I was impressed at his weight. Thats the only thing that kinda surprised me.

And regardless of when you get drafted, its all about production at the next level. Someone could be a 1st round pick and not do shite at the next level. Just because a guy goes in the 1st round doesnt mean its a good pick.

And there are guys that helped their stock just as much or more than OBJ. And I think Cooks and Matthews both jump him.

Was wrong with his weight... pretty much it. I think I said like 5'10 185lbs.

Regardless, I still dont think hes a 1st round WR. Even after having a great combine.

what thread was that in?? cant remember and wanna go back and look at it

All I need to see of Hill is his last touchdown against Iowa when he broke away from the defensive pursuit down the sideline. That run was a thing of beauty. Of course in the NFL, he won't be sideline to sideline which is where his vision and 10 yd split will be golden.

You're defending his 40 time in this thread. If that is his true 40 time and vert, I'm not sure he'll go before the 4th round

Well the most important attributes for a WR are catching and royte running. Landry may be the best in the draft at either.

But of course everyone on a football field runs 40 yds in a straight line without pads.

And again, his 10yard split was 1 of the best out of all RBs. Thats more important than a 40 time.
