Nice the way you include LSU's 2 worst seasons in your timeline. And exclude the national championship year.

Anyone can skew the stats man... Look at Bama's worst two years and exclude periods when they won.... Same result.

If you simply look at the past 3 or 4 years... Our total losses compared to Bama, UF, AU.... Each of whom have won the BCSNC we compare favorably to all.... We have 2 or 3 more losses than Alabama.... And they are arcane unprecedented high point on the BCS era.

And don't forget that this year we played 5 top 5 teams....Bama played 2. It does make a bit of difference man.

Be realistic and you understand that we are winning A LOT of games.

Can we improve....yes...but we are hardly "in decline" .

We may well have the #1 recruiting class coming in....under any circumstances top 10.... And we will continue to be extremely competitive.

Wow, Jimbo wins a game against Northern Illinois whose season included:
a loss to 4-8 Iowa
a 1 point win against 2-10 Army
a 7 point win against 1-11 Kansas
and some people are wondering if he would have been a better hire than Miles. Do you knot remember the national championship and second national championship appearance Miles has brought us? What about the 2 sec championships in 3 appearances?

Do you realize like others have said that Jimbo lost to NC State this season, Wake Forest and Virginia last year, and NC State and North Carolina the year before?

Since Jimbo has been at FSU his record is:
31-10 with an 18-6 conference record and 1 acc championship.

In that same time frame, Miles record at LSU is:
34-6 with a 20-4 conference record and 1 sec championship.

Look I am just as disappointed with the loss and lack of offensive adjustments in the game as everyone else, but the knee jerk reactions on here are completely ridiculous. Think before you post.

Guy's I went to Lsu & had family play football there. It is hard being an LSU fan here in north Al., but I wear my purple & gold ever day except Sun. But I have excepted the fact that Lsu will never have a great offense again. We have had some of the greatest RB'S for years & a descent of. line but we have not had a QB since Flinn left. I thought Mett was the answer but he only had one really good game against Bama. I thought he had seen the light but after the loss he fell back
to being average at best. The problem is we don't have a coach that can coach a QB. After this year I doubt any good QB will chose to come to Lsu until our QB coaching gets better! Lets be honest the Defense won our 10 wins this year. God bless them!

How in the hell do people think that a new OC is going to change anything? It is completely obvious that Les has a huge huge hand in the offense every week. Why would we wasted millions on a new OC to come in and call the same plays that Stud does?

Just stupid. Les is the defacto OC. Everyone knows this. A new OC doesn't change anything unless they are like Chavis and get COMPLETE control.

and we would have inexplicable losses every year just like Jimbo pulls at FSU.

Ummm, no reason to play the if game on this one. We get those every year anyway.

You have a short memory! NegaTigers hated Jimbo's offense! You can't have both was!

I'd rather Miles than Jimbo. All I would like is a proven OC.

The reason Fisher's offense was conservative under Saban was that Nick often wanted it that way. Saban has progressed from those days and tends to open it up a little more now. And as far as Fisher's last two years go, that again was Miles sticking his nose into things, particularly the Auburn fiasco of 2006 (which rumor has was the final impetus for Jimbo to decide to leave at the end of the season). And for all of you that have such disdain for Fisher, remember that the two best QBs that Miles has had (Flynn and Russell) were both tutored by Jimbo.

I did the last five years because 2007 was Saban's first year at Bama and Miles' last year with Saban's recruits on the team. Since then, Bama has been building strength as Saban gets his players on board and system in place. Miles has had his players and system in place for the entire five years and the offense has been consistently bad. The result is that we're losing twice as many games as Bama and Bama has two national championships.

Million dollar questions is---Does Les feel like he needs a different O/C?

Million dollar answer: Yes

I think Les realized it last year, but had Krag's contract to honor (plus wanted to do right by a sick man). He'll hire an OC this offseason (according to my sources, of course).

Formula is pretty simple. Top 5 defense, top 40 offense to win a national championship.

Thank you. I totally agree. In the last 5 years we have not cracked the top 50 offenses. Given that the defense has been superb--therefore giving the offense multiple opportunities that is unacceptable.
