Josh Boutte has been suspended one game for his late hit to end the Wisconsin game, per LSU.
Les Miles said Josh Boutte called Wisconsin's D'Cota Dixon to apologize for the hit.

Silver lining: It was nice to see that he could hit someone in space. After the screen play, I wasn't sure.

If it was NFL he would be fined.
He claims he thought was a live play.
He shoulder hit a guy in pads. Wasn't a spear, didn't punch him. Much worse has happened in football.

He told Les right after the play he didn't know the guy was down. Hard to prove he was lying. Actually made the most sense to me.

Is that what LSU imposed? Or is that the SEC judgment as well? The SEC was supposedly looking into it, and they might have a different verdict than LSU does.

Josh is a good kid who made a stupid mistake. Two to four games might have been a more apt punishment, but he does not deserve to be kicked off the team.
However, the one game suspension is from LSU. The NCAA and/or the SEC have not weighed in yet.

Sounds fair enough. Let the man learn from his wrong doing and get on with his playing. Anything similar he should be gone from the team.

Absolutely absurd but nothing surprises me when you have Miles as head coach. No discipline and no respect.
