As a matter of fact, I would hazard to say that the vast majority of football players (probably basketball players too) at LSU are Democrats as well.
Should this matter? It doesn't to me.

I wonder why nobody had a problem with Les Miles supporting Jindal for years? You didn't hear complaints about it until Jindal jumped in to keep Les from being fired near the end. This sounds like a double standard. People don't have a problem with it unless it goes against their politics at that particular time.
I agree with the person who posted that they don't care about the head coach's politics or religion, as long as they win because that's what they are hired to do. Geaux Tigers!

Im no fan of JBE, but he did help land 1/2 of the Amite guys and gave it a noble effort to get the DT. So ive got no problem with Coach O maintaining a good relationship with whoever's in the governors office.

Except the years he spent at Miami, northwestern, USC, Tennessee, Ole miss, Syracuse, etc
He's from LA and all, but this needs to stop. He'd be just as happy as the HC at any of those other programs.

Then you ignored a lot of people. Plenty of people didn't like it and numerous people mentioned the campaign limitations on state employees. It was pathetic back then just as it is now.

I doubt it. Ensminger was a SR QB at LSU when Orgeron first stepped on campus. I'm sure, just like the rest of us, O knew who Ensminger was, and admired him and the whole team, and loved coach Mack, just like those of us growing up watching and listening to LSU did.
It's actually a great story, when you think about it. Both of these guys ending up coaching LSU into the top-ten. I remember when Curley was hired, and I thought back to McClendon, another Bryant disciple who was HC at LSU, and I thought, why can't we get any LSU men to coach our team?
