why would JJ lie about this when they have his DNA from his shoes. Seems like he is pretty confident.

Forgive me cause I'm not a CSI guy, but I still don't get the DNA stuff. In a fight where people are running around all over the place, fist and blood are flying...what would be the big find in DNA on a shoe, shirt, or pants other than just to prove they were there?

Since Jefferson has a HUGE incentive to escape blame why has he not defended himself simply by identifying the perpetrator?

Maybe he did. BUT, since he was named in the police report by the "victim" and a 3rd party witness he HAD to be arrested according to the law. Doesn't matter if the Pope was there and he said Jefferson didn't do it. The police had enough probable cause to pick him and Johns up. The threshold to be arrested is pretty low.

The BRPD fricked this up. Should have been picked up Friday morning.

if some crazy scenario comes up that none us saw coming...is it still possible that all charges are dropped....or is it too late for that?

someone has...in fact, several someones have. for some reason the police never interviewed them

Really? Because if you are talking about the employees from Shady's, they only claimed he wasn't involved at some point during the fight. One only refers to what happened inside and as Lowery was escorted out of the bar and the other claims to have jumped on a truck after the incident had started and saw him by himself at some point during the altercation but can't verify that he WASN'T the kicker.

So your full of shite to claim someone has come forward and cleared JJ.

The DA could decide not to accept the charges, but that would look terrible from a PR standpoint even if it was justified.

but it was JJ. When this is over the evidence will be vast.

Very possible, no one in bBaton Rouge wants to be know as the person trying to convict the innocent LSU Quarterback.
They all have reputations to uphold, however I fear that the police chief has already lost his job.

YEs. I guess the other 20 witnesses that saw JJ kick him, the video showing his clothes, the blood on his shoes was enough.

this would be fricking bananas if it went to trial. I mean flimsy evidence like this and you would have the DA trying to convict the starting QB at LSU of felony assault?

yes this shite is FAR from over.

The case is far from over. I think they will plea down to simple battery or if fought he'll be found guilty of assault. But who knows. It will drag out for a while, definitely through the season if he does not take a plea.

JJ on the playing field with the Tigers is over, IMO. I think he'll stay suspended throughout the season. I feel bad for him. It was a piss poor decision, probably in the heat of the moment and he has suffered. Did AL hit first? A couple of witnesses say yes, many witnesses say no. But as far as the charges and status on the team, that does not mean much.

I only hope he and Josh finish their education and I hope Miles does everything he can to help them do that.

Lowery was escorted out of the bar

I'm wondering if since Shady's threw him out of the bar and knew he had been in a fight, did that create a duty for them to see that he made it off of their property without further incident.

By the time this goes to trial we will have moved on from JJ as fans of LSU. Season will be over.

Choctaw, if you could give your sucking reflex a break, you might have read that Cash said that LU et al were going to gang bang Lowery. Real classy. The defense of JJ is possibly more repulsive and thuggish than anything JJ may have done.

The extended version of the video revealed 2 fight scenes.

There was definately more than 4 guys fighting 4. Lots of chaos going on.

And then there was the tall, black male that kicked the guy on the ground... maybe 2 times.

So if JJ was NOT the kicker, his attorney will get the other name out.

This has gone from him hitting someone in the bar to outside. Also, dude from Shadys says the fight with Lowery happened first, but in the video the dude in the truck is being helped and 20 seconds later they are still kicking Lowery. that would mean that Lowery had been on the ground for a while and they were still kicking him
