sorry, but I"m not a big fan of these blockbuster openers. I like playing a directional school first, work out some kinks, then playing a game like this. Learned my lesson after 2002 and VT.
I'm okay with them. The problem with 2002 was that it was our opener, but not Virginia Tech's. They had Ark State first to work out the kinks.

i was just kidding.
That's cool, but I think everyone is a little edgy before the first game of the season, and just wants (or should) hope that the season starts good with a big 'W', instead of thinking about doom & gloom before we even play against North Carolina. I choose to be optimistic & can't wait until Saturday...

I agree with all of this. I get it. And I'm optimistic too.

I appreciate your humor, and realize you are only half-joking.
Don't play ping-pong with these Gump-like, Butterfly paddle weilding pros around here.

For the record, I wasn't even half joking, I was completely joking. I wasn't trying to start anything.
Unlike when I posted the Colt McCoy sour grapes story on the SEC Rant to aggravate the Bammers. I was TOTALLY trying to start something there. 106 comments at last check!

Its okay, you just chose a bad time. Do it after our first loss of the season and these people will laugh at it, thats how two faced some are.

I wonder how many people we could put in that stadium. With standing room it can hit 111,000.
Or would they limit it to the 80,000 conventional arrangement to have a better chance at a sellout?
How many we puttin in the GA dome? It's close to the same distance.

Well, yeah, but the Georgia Dome seats what, just over 70? With a decent number of tickets going to UNC which is less than 400 miles away. Not quite the same thing as pondering whether LSU could fill a 110,000 seat stadium with an opponent from 2,000 miles away...
